I suspect if tried to x by 700 you would wind up with an image that is to wide. so simply use 500 x X, the image will be smaller than DVD images but then they are supposed to be.

Don't try and force them to 500x700 (i rarely get a DVD cover that is exactly those dimensions). Most normal BD covers end up about 500 x 640(ish). When doing my standard DVD scans I scan at full size then reduce by 50% (still larger than the 500 X 700) for contributing but the ratio is kept, (I think a 500 X 700 is usually about 32% of full size).

I was citing for comparison purposes because most dvd cover scans in profiler fall within that 500x700 range or are resized to that range within profiler. I thought there might be a similar standard for blu-rays and was mostly looking for the magic "X" number- in this case "640(ish)." It helps me in keeping things fairly uniform. Much obliged.  |
