í I don't know what counts as a definitive source for sorting these out, but according to her official website, it is "Sofia Vergara". Just visit... http://www.sofiavergara.com... and click on "About Me". The text there has it with i instead of í. Also, if you check the spanish version of the site, the i remains. | | | Mika

From a linguistic point of view, it would normally be Sof ía with an accent ... in Spanish. However, in English it would be Sofia without an accent. When a Spanish word ends on "ia" it is virtually always (if not always) written with an accent. Having said that, her parents could have given her an English name  ... so I guess it is only her and her parents that can clarify. Why not give the agent a call to confirm? But it seems that it might be without the accent because the scale is tipping quite heavily towards the non-accented spelling. | | | ---
