If you reinstall the software and plug your key in you should be able to go to the Online menu and pick "DVD Profiler Online".  Plug your username and password in, then hit next.  After your logged in you can download from Invelos and get your collection back.  I've never tried it myself so you might not get all of the cusomizations back, but it'll get you started at least.

After you're set back up it's a good idea to back up your data occasionly, just in case!

Good luck friend.

Ouch, that really bites :-(  It looks like you never uploaded your collection.

It's the same process I described before, but pick "upload" instead of "download".  Once you get everything typed back in it's worth doing so tat you can view your collection from the net and it also provide you with an emergency back up.

Your collection list still exists at the old Intervocative site. Bungee's Collection.

Just reinstall the old version of DVD Profiler and download your collection from the old site then follow the instructions in the How Do I Upgrade thread.

Hi I had a major problem with my laptop and lost all data,

Nothing left? No BackUp[1], no data on the old harddrive, no XML-Export[2]? Than I'd recommend you don't plan anything else on this weekend and happy typing.

cya, Mithi

[1] You are aware that DVD Profiler has a built-in backup function? Use it!
[2] As a self-described technophobe I'll presume the answer is "No" but had to ask to make sure.

Thanks for all the advice folks, I did back up my dvds as instucted on site but managed to copy the b******* shortcut or something so lost the folders when everything on my machine went Pete Tong!

I will see if I can copy them over from the old site, with my luck I will probably end up downloading half of NASAs shuttle pogramme.

I'll let you know how it goes

Cheers folks
