I've got a problem with two Amber Smith...
The first one is born in 1972 and play in :
- American beauty
- Dead end
- LA Confidential
and i've got a second one in my db who played in :
- The rules of attraction.
IMDb says that they aren't the same one but Cineman (http://www.cineman.ch/fr/entertainfo/amber-smith.html) says that they are the same person.
Someone can help me ? |

My profile for "The Rules of Attraction" is correct. I verified it completely and Amber Smith is credited well at 1h46mn00s at the end of the Cast.
On the other hand, if you say that she is a porn star and not Amber Smith (1972), it answers completely to my question.
But can I add the birth day of Amber Smith (1972) according with :

- Wikipedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amber_Smith

Based on what I have beenreading it seems we are talking TWO different Amber Smith's here. That is the function of the BY, and only one of them needs to have a BY to differentiate the two. Howevere, you must be sure to setup Amber Smith (1972) with your documentation AND Amber Smith so the two people WULL be sepparated and not combined into one name.

I'm not sure if the program does that. However I do know that if you download a profile without a BY it automatically assigns the lowest BY from your database, which is just as bad! I checked both ladies and found what you all had, but then I clicked on a link to order the lone dvd (*and movie) of the 2nd AS, and the back of the box of that says
"ever wonder what happened to a girl almost 10 years after making her debut in one of my tapes? Wonder no further, here's Amber Smith, who was in the first 'Black Debutantes' volume. She didn't go all the way back then and she says this is her first boy/girl scene"

Since this name variant has only this title on 2 sites, and this title's box says she was in the eariler that both sites say had an Amber Smith in them... my professional opinion is they are the same person.
EDIT: also found a review of "Black Dirty Debutantes" that she is in and that confirms the porn Amber is a black woman. Also NSFW (no pics, juts dirty text) link to the review:

The review comfirms she "didn't go all the way", ust like the box for 225 says.

Thanks I have no issue with this, it seems to be more likely the correct info anyway. Her site is back up and running, but I can't find any BY info there to say 100%, but over 90% of the sites I've seen say 1971. Then some sites say both! The top line here says 1972, but scroll down a bit and where the text starts it says 1971. |
