Hello all

I hope this question is in the right forum.

Is it possible to exclude boxset titles when sorting by title?
For instance i have a box called '4 Speelfilms: The Mission - Mean Streets - The Man Without a Face - Revolution' with the separate titles under it.
When i sort by title it appears on top with the number titles but the titles in the box are not in the right alphabetic place that way.
I have tried to delete the sorting title of the box but that didn't help because that is only to filter out the words The, A and An at the beginning of the title i think.
I hope you understand what i am trying to do.

Thanks in advance.

Jeroen

I use a Tag with Subtags for that. Box/Movie/TV-Show/Docu/Musik
Every Profile becomes one of these Tags.

- Movie
+ Box Set
-- Movie
-- Movie
- Movie

When I fiter by "movie" I can sort senseful after year, rating etc. because all profiles are on the same level then.

After filtering:
- Movie
- Movie
- Movie
- Movie

Hello Armand

Could you explain a little bit more how you do this?
How do you 'subtag' titles?
And are you talking about marking or labeling?
Because i made some custom 'labels' but have not used marking so much yet.
Thanks again.

I do the same thing.  All my boxsets have a Boxset tag set on them.  Then I can filter by anything that's not a boxset to see just the films.  Obviously you only want to set the tag on the parent profile for the box itself.  The child profiles under the boxset don't get tagged.
Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.
Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection.

i get it now i think.
I can make a new label and call it 'boxset' and filter them out that way.
You call it tags but in the dutch version they're called labels.
You can also 'mark' titles, that confused me a little because as far as i know you can't filter 'marks'.
Thanks for your replies.
