Hi people.

I'm new to the whole 'Invelos DVD profiling experience' I really am and I was amazed that such a wonderful community of people who love film as much as I do existed. Now to the point... As someone who loves film, I am also very stubborn and protective over my collection and was disappointed to see that a few of my DVD's don't exist in the eyes of DVD profiler. This is a minor gripe, and one that has probably been addressed before through these forums, but be gentle with me because I have stated that I am indeed a DVD Profiler virgin.

However I would still like all of my DVDs to get the recognition that they deserve.

I have At Home With The Braithwaites Seasons 1, 2 and 3 Region 2 PAL UK versions which do not seem to exist via barcode or other means.

Also I have the film "Machines Of Love And Hate" which is oddly absent.

Anyone else with similar problems who have DVD gems that are going unnoticed?

Hi... Welcome to DVD Profiler!
This is a user created database. That means all the profiles are created by users that own the DVDs. So if no one else has created the profiles for those disc you can do it yourself. Just add by UPC/EAN and uncheck download from Invelos at the bottom of the window.

Before submitting your work you will need to familiarize yourself with the Rules for contributions. And be sure to source where you got all the info from or they will decline it.

What Addicted said.

It's possible that while the DVDs you are interested in recognizing in Profiler may be popular to the viewing public, they may not have many fans who are contributors to the database.  So do as Addicted says, read the Rules for contributions, and contribute your titles.  You might be surprised to find that others like yourself have wanted these titles in the system.

Hey thanks for the helpful advice guys.

I've got a scanner so I can see if I can upload some pictures and create some profiles tomorrow - if they don't get rejected that is!

Great answer Pete.
It's just that I sometimes ask myself what the FAQ-section was for?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

A FAQ is a great help as it allows the answers to standard questions to be easily copy pasted into threads where these questions are asked.

You didn't expect it to be used by people asking questions, did you?

Absolutely, lars. When I am dealing with a new software site, the FAQ is one of the first resources I look for. They deal with commonly asked questions, topics and common errors. I am not so arrogant to believe that what I might do or think is a FIRST, somebody has probably seen or said long before myself.

I believe Lars' question was asked with a mild dose of sarcasm.

My fault,
I really did (and do) expect people to look into the "Support-Area" to see if their question is already answered.
Someone else thought that this idea is quite ridiculous and even violates forum-rules.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

It didn't seem all that mild to me, Hal.
