Am I allowed a maybe dumb question for Christmas time?  [Ok, not just on Christmas time, I know...]
Here it comes anyway!

If a DVD contains trailers of other movies, but not the trailer of the main feature on that DVD, do those qualify as "Trailer" in DVDP?

For instance, the Fame Complete Season One set contains previews of a number of movies from the Eighties, yet not any teaser of that TV show.

yeah... basically if there is any trailer for any title it is added to dvd profiler.  Basically a Trailer is a Trialer is a Trailer.

Ok, I should have checked that out myself.
However, my doubt came from noticing some profiles with the "Trailers" checkbox not ticked even if they contain trailers for other films (while other Features had been ticked).

Meanwhile, I see an "Other Trailers feature checkbox" has just been requested in the Feature Requests forum, after this thread, so maybe my dumb question wasn't entirely useless.

I think it would be nearly impossible to determine every dvd, whether the trailers list include the current movie selection or just other DVD's.

Many DVD's (epescially Disney), just list the Trailers, then you can watch about 23-25 trailers before the real movie starts.

It would take some time, but would be possible. I can think of dozens dvds right off that have dozens of trailers each, but not for the feature of the disc (of course that can be found on another disc by the same company released in the same quarter).
I'd go through my collection to help sort it out if it happens.

Personally, I don't think it's impossible to determine this at all.  Currently I'm ripping the trailers to my local hard drive and then making html links in the profiles for them.  The idea being to check out the movie trailer while browsing through Profiler.  It's darn annoying to see the trailer feature checked only to find out that the trailers in question have nothing to do with the movie being profiled.

Long story short, I'm already going through my entire collection to make this determination, so it's no trouble for me to upload it if the datafield becomes available.
