| | Posted: | | | | On the first season of MacGyver there are a few episode where there is an "Opening Gambit". These are similar to the opening sequence of many James Bond films. These had MacGyver finish his mission (which usually had nothing to do with the actual episode), then the theme music credit sequence would be shown.
The "Opening Gambit" had writers/ directors credited on screen. Then the regular part of the episode also had complete crew credits including writers and directors for the main part of the episode.
Do you think those writers/directors should be credited and if so how should they appear in the profile?
1. Include the Opening Gambit crew with the rest of the crew credits
2. Use a divider for the Opening Gambit crew
3. Don't include them at all
4. Other, post below
If you choose #2, how would you number the episode divider? Would you have something like the following:
1. Name of Episode: Opening Gambit
Crew Credits
1. Name of Episode
Crew Credits
Or:
1.1 Name of Episode: Opening Gambit
Crew Credits
1.2 Name of Episode
Crew Credits
In case you were wondering there is no cast listed for the opening gambit segments. |

| | Posted: | | | | Each episode is a self contained unit. The opening sequence is to set the scene for the episode in some way, just like the Prologue in a book. It may not have anything to do directly with the episode (or the book's plot) but it provides needed information that makes the following story make sense.
