Is there a source where I can check/validate an EAN/UPC?

I have a DVD from France, part of a "1 DVD = 2 FILMS !!!" series (containing a single two-sided disc with unrelated films on each side) that may have an incorrect EAN and need to check this before contributing the profile.  The EAN on the DVD case is:
3700173211995,
which is listed in the Invelos database as another film in the same series:
"Legion / Bullet Head"
The cover scan does indeed show the same EAN.  However, the disc that I have is "Black Rainbow / Beyond the City Limits".

The cellophane/shrink wrapping also had a different EAN & Bar-code label on it covering that on the keep-case cover:
3700173211667,
which I've being trying (unsuccessfully) to verify.

Without verification, I wouldn't want to contribute this profile with either EAN.

Sometimes they are re-used, in which case you have to submit the films using the disc id instead (if you have a DVD drive in your PC of course).

Thanks, but that still leaves the question of which is the 'correct' EAN to use.
The stock at the reseller all has the extra label covering the number on the printed cover, so maybe the manufacturer messed up on the printing.
I take it that there is no source to check EAN/UPCs.

There is a good source for Region 1 UPCs, but I'm not aware of a similar source for other regions.

Thanks Ken.
That'll be a useful resource.
