So, then, I'm not at 2K; I'm close to 3/4s there. OK, thanks.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

I count titles. That means a box set counts as one item, even though it may have several child profiles attached to it.

I'm up to 2,723!  (Box Sets and TV Series are counted as 1 DVD regardless on how many DVDs they contain.)

I currently have 3329 profiles , but htaht's including all child profiles. I don't assign a number to a child-profile in TV-series (set number to none), and than i have 2878 numbered proilfes. But i do number seperate movies and the boxset so the James Bond Suitcase (r2) counts as 1 for the Suitcase and 20 for all movies. I know it's not entirely accurate as to how much dvd's i own but i think it looks better when i scroll through my collection.

I'm currently at 2199, up from 2000 last June. It's been a somewhat slow year for new titles despite two new HD formats and all the HD DVD bargains lately (albeit some were replacements for the DVD so didn't increase the title count).

New user here.  Just converted 2293 movies from an Access Database which took a week.

I'm hoping it was worth the effort, but it looks great so far.

Yep, with 2281 and counting, I'm in.

Since I started DVDP, this is how it broke down since '07:

2007 - 664
2008 - 670
2009 - 63

Been a busier month, but I think it may slow down later...

You should only count actual titles.  Thus, boxsets of TV shows only count as one, but boxsets of movies count one for each movie; and of course, single movies count as one.

Based on that method, I have just over 1100.

I think we all have our different methods of counting, there's no right or wrong here. If I would do a strict count by title, I would treat a tv series like M*A*S*H as one single title regardless of the number of seasons it run. But since I have 11 individual seasons, I count them as 11 titles.

My collection numbers are assigned to titles where a TV box set Parent is assigned a number while the children are not and Film Box set Parents are not assigned a number while the children are. Based on that criteria I am currently standing at 2,115 .
