This would really help me to contribute more elegantly, because I own quite a few movies that are exactly the same as i.e. the US or Canadian version but that are from another region or area (i.e. Ultraviolet, mine is from Korea :-). But since actors and crew never change if region or area is different.

I'd love to have a feature where I can copy the actors and crew to my contribution.

This would save me so much time, because I hate to enter actor and crew information, it is very time consuming if someone else already did this.

You can already... just download the different locality version into your local database say into your wish list, edit it to your locality (change region, SRP, cover scans if different, etc) then select DVD from the top bar on the main screen window scroll down until your see 'Change EAN... (EAN/UPC)' enter the EAN/UPC for your area/version of DVD. Away you go.

One more thing: change also the locality, just above "Change EAN/UPC". If the original profile is from another region, you have to change the region first in order to get the correct list of countries in the Change EAN dialog.

Yes, I changed both: locality and UPC code. I think it worked, thanks for the hint :-).

Hmm, something went wrong, my contribution of Ultraviolet (Korean DVD) just got declined. Well I'll never know why.

probably because someone voted no because it's not allowed to use another profile as the data source, you've got to verify the data through the credits

I understood that your DVD was Korean locality (bought from Korea). Did you use correct SRP currency for Korea? This was probably a new profile since Ultraviolet is not in the database under Korean locality, therefore there was no voting on it, am I correct?

I made a mistake by assuming that "country of origin" refers to the origin of the DVD. So I selected Korea (instead of USA). It was bought from yesasia.com.

By comparing other DVDs I found out this field refers to the origin of the making of the movie. I corrected this little mistake and contributed it again and now my Ultraviolet Korean unrated cut DVD has been released into the wild :-). Cool  .

I fixed this mistake in all my not yet approved other contributions. They have been recontributed also.
