And we haven't heard them speak yet. That is very important ...

Actually, there is one tv spot that I saw online where Prime does speak.  It was one of two that came out back in March, this one called Protect (I think), the other called Destiny.  I found the Destiny one online, I'm trying to find the Protect one right now.

When's the DVD available?

It's going to take me eight hours to watch it when it comes out on Blu-Ray due to constant rewinding and then frame advancing through the action scenes....

Good special effects can make up for a poor plot in my book.

The way the latest trailer looked, it could have no plot at all and still be a hit.

Here's a question for you: Bumblebee was bought at a used car lot.  How come nobody opened up the hood and went "WTF!?!"

Well, you can see in one of the trailers when Blackout attacks the military base that he can generate holograms. Maybe they all can, and that's how they masquerade as normal vehicules?

I'm still upset at them for making Bumblebee a Camaro though...

I can understand the logic behind not making Megatron's alternate form a gun, but Bumblebee not being a VW Beetle??

I read an article about a year ago and it stated that the reason for the change was that Volkswagon did not want to have their product promoting violence in any way whatsoever (a stance they held in the '80's as well) so the studio was forced to make a change.

<sigh> I'll never understand the marketing departments of some companies...

But it could very well have been a Michael Bay decision: "VW is not American enough, let's make him a Camaro!"

I seem to recall in the TV interview where they answered questions from Yahoo users that the mass-shifting with a VW Bug just didn't work.

I´m also not a big fan of transformers, but the trailer is cool and knowing that Steven Spielberg has his fingers on it, makes me looking forward to watch it!
