| Posted: | | | | I saw this subject posted on another site and thought it would be interesting to see what everyones favorite dvds are. For me: 1) Freaks and Geeks Yearbook edition. One of my favorite shows and the yearbook & extras are fantastic. 2) Casablanca Special Edition. My favorite movie and it looks great. 3) Almost Famous: Bootleg Edition 4) The Marx Brothers: The Silver Screen Edition. Some of these movies were at the very top of my want list when I first bought my dvd player. After 4 or 5 years they were finally released. 5) The Frighteners: 4 Disc Special Edition (region 2) 6) The Exorcist: 25th Anniversy Edition 7) Fanny & Alexander Box Set (Criterion) 8) Dawn of the Dead: Ultimate Edition 9) Brotherhood of the Wolf. 3 disc Canadian Edition. 10) The Adventures of Brisco County Junior. Another favorite tv show
There's probably 1 or 2 dvds that I'm not thinking of but this would be pretty accurate for me. What are yours? |

| Posted: | | | | I'm gonna have a hard time selecting only 10 but here goes, in no particular order. 1) Planet of the Apes: Ultimate Collection: Ape Head Packaging - I just love that head on my top shelf! 2) Evil Dead I & II: Book of the Dead Editions - I love these 2 movies, and the packaging makes it awesome 3) Wolf's Rain: Limited Complete Collection - Although I've still not seen the series yet, I like the shape of the box 4) All my Star Trek (especially the later ones, with special packaging) - I don't need to explain that one 5) Wizard of Oz: Three Disc Collector's Edition - There's so much material in there, and I love the reproduction of the promotional stuff 6) Any of the Disney Giftsets (Lion King, Cinderella, etc.) - Again, great restoration on the movies, and the extras are great. Love the drawings they included in them. 7) E.T.: Ultimate Giftset - Great package, 2 versions of the movie, the soundtrack, a book.. what more can you ask for? 8) Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complete S1 & S2 - I love the fact that they are in metal cases, but for the individual volumes and the box itself. I've yet to watch the series though. 9) Schindler's List: Collector's Gift Set - Awesome movie in an awesome plexiglass packaging. 10) Universal's Legacy Collection (Monster movies) - True classics in a nice packaging. The three Dracula, Frankenstein and Wolfman busts are a nice touch too. And there's so many more...
