| Posted: | | | | Actually I am doing data every day for a lot of profiles which don't have any or the ones I recently buy. Well, especially the last ones are "initial profiles" quite often. So I just had one ("Die Kreuzritter 8") with one Make-Up Designer and some more Make-Up Artists.
After acception of the initial contribution I got an update today - which showed me the "Designer" modified to an "Artist". First I got a little bit angry, especially as it was an initial contribution. So I got to the profile and wanted to contribute again with the correct job of that crew member.
But then the site tells me that there are no changes, altough I just declined one update!
Could anybody explain me why the data online seems to be different than the one of the newest update? Or is the something "technically" missing? Which means: Is the possibility to add a "Make-Up Designer" to a profile newer than the update process itself which means that the update process only "knows" the Artist but not the Designer? |

| Posted: | | | | From the rules (which you should have read prior to contributing anything): Crew with a standard role selected will contribute without the Custom Role, if one is entered.
Custom roles are local only. | | | Registered: February 10, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | Also, Makeup Designer = Makeup Artist in DVD Profiler. It's right there in the "Credits" section of the Contribution Rules. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |
