Quote: I recently made an interesting discovery. I updated some profiles that were missing color information. Most of them also had some other changes; birth year, common name or whatever. But the ones that had only color information added were approved immediately.
I can only surmise that this is bug in the bot. While color info is a very simple piece of information, it's not so simple that you cannot get it wrong. I have seen that happen. So it should be voted on. I think it's always been the case that adding colour is instantly approved.
I can't remember the last time contributed a profile update which was only colour information and it wasn't instantly approved. I agree with you that it does need to be voted on or the same by the screeners because you could, in theory, put Black and White for a very colourful film and the system would immediately approve that update. | Posted: Topic Replies: 101, Topic Views: 11848 |

They were more as a futureproofing or FYI addition to my post, showing how she's now using Jessica Hynes and this is no longer a 'competition' between two names. | Posted: Topic Replies: 32, Topic Views: 19780 |

Quote: I knew if I didn't type that topic out, they wouldn't get approved. So of course....they were approved Sept. 11th! Coincidence or correlation? Maybe some of the screeners are reading the forum messages! | Posted: Topic Replies: 4, Topic Views: 1738 |

I had two contributions from August 25 (both for the same film) with uncredited cast and they were approved on September 8.
I included a YouTube video of the scene in which they appeared with an explanation from a Digital Spy article, plus a hyperlink to that article.
I didn't mind the long wait because I would rather the screeners be very thorough with contributions with uncredited cast than let them go through very quickly with minimal checks. | Posted: Topic Replies: 4, Topic Views: 1738 |

It looks like it's two separate scenes, the first part with Nick Fury and Steve Rogers (the part with the punchbag) is a standard post-credits scene, but the bit that follows is a short teaser for the (then upcoming) Avengers film.
I don't think Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg should be included, but wanted to see if there was any appetite for including Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth etc. amongst other users.
There is a link to the scene in my original post if you want to watch it. | Posted: Topic Replies: 4, Topic Views: 2378 |

After the credits on Captain America: The First Avenger, there is a scene queueing up The Avengers, featuring – most prominently – Robert Downey Jr and Chris Hemsworth.
Should they be added to the cast list as uncredited, or does this class as a trailer separate from this film? | Posted: Topic Replies: 4, Topic Views: 2378 |

Doesn't the rules for edition also specify collections?, namely:
"The Edition field is for distinguishing between DVDs, and for indicating special versions and collections (for example The Criterion Collection, Widescreen, Full-Screen Edition, Director's Cut)."
My understanding is "3-Movie Collection" complies with the edition rule and it is no different to other valid editions such as "Double Feature" or "Triple Feature" and it also tells us there are three DIFFERENT movies in the box set, which adds significant value to the cover titles, particularly when two titles are exactly the same. I wouldn't argue against its inclusion, but it does seem to be superfluous because the title includes three different films, so the 3-Movie Collection aspect is self-explanatory.
That said, the wording does feature very prominently on the cover and there is at least one precedent for including that edition in my collection: The Blues Brothers / National Lampoon's Animal House / Stripes: 3 Film Box Set (EAN 5050582792867). | Posted: Topic Replies: 12, Topic Views: 5122 |

The rules are very clear: "Use the title from the front cover."
Even with editions, they say "Edition is generally displayed on the front, but may also be gathered from the back cover if present." There is no mention of the spine being used for editions. Even so, an edition would be unnecessary because there is no need to distinguish this from other releases of the same name, nor to indicate that this is a special release of this title.
Going by the rules, I think the official title should be "The Thing / The Thing from Another World / The Thing" without an edition, but I would have the locked title as "The Thing 3-Movie Collection" in my local database. | Posted: Topic Replies: 12, Topic Views: 5122 |

Quote: Not in the case of features. Features is seldomly even close to being the same. But yes there is a lot of things that will be the same making it worth cloning and updating all the differences. There will be similarities and differences between the Criterion Blu-ray and DVD releases of the same film on the same date – some releases will be almost identical across the formats and others will not – but they are probably close enough to make the 'clone and adapt' approach the quickest way to make an accurate DVD profile from scratch. | Posted: Topic Replies: 7, Topic Views: 3621 |
