That's a good point. As they aren't in the episode, they wouldn't fit that episode divided.
Thanks for the feedback. | Posted: Topic Replies: 5, Topic Views: 1577 |

I'm not too bothered either way, but I thought an actor appearing in a recap would (as uncredited) be included with the cast for that episode as well as the previous one. | Posted: Topic Replies: 5, Topic Views: 1577 |

Although I think the answer to this is 'Yes', I wanted to check the consensus opinion here first.
If a TV episode begins with a recap of previous episodes and the actors in those clips are not in the end credits, should they be listed after the cast and marked as uncredited? | Posted: Topic Replies: 5, Topic Views: 1577 |

I submitted a comprehensive update to the 4K Ultra HD release of West Side Story with RRP, subtitles, audio tracks, scans, cast, crew etc. on November 8.
It didn't receive any votes. It was approved and released November 13.
I contributed a new release for the Blu-ray child profile at the same time.
It is still 'Received'. I don't expect it to be approved and released for at least another week. | Posted: Topic Replies: 84, Topic Views: 6136 |

Several new profiles I submitted on October 27th were approved yesterday, so 14 days seems about par for them at the moment. | Posted: Topic Replies: 84, Topic Views: 6136 |

They are and it's been widely talked about it here in the past.

Quote: There is a complication that I don't think has been addressed yet.
In a 4K/Bluray combo, the 4K disc is (or at least is supposed to be) region free. The bluray disc, however, may very well be region coded. Thus adding bluray features to the 4K profile suggests that they are region free, which may not be the case.
Therefore it makes sense to keep the bluray data on the bluray profile only. This is very important and goes back to my argument for each profile to be reflective of the features and audio/subtitles on that disc.
It seems absurd to have a region free 4K Ultra HD profile with featurettes, commentary, and interviews when these are all on what could/should be the region coded Blu-ray child profile.
I understand this will make the main profile look pretty barebones but, if you add both discs to your collection, it should be easy to see where the features are and which disc has what audio options. | Posted: Topic Replies: 40, Topic Views: 4561 |

There is no dilemma if you follow the combo set rules. • The parent profile accurately conveys the information for the main feature on the primary media only. • The child profile accurately conveys the information for the main feature on the secondary media only. • If you don't like child profiles, add the child features to your local database and lock it (just don't contribute it).
This makes complete sense, thank you | Posted: Topic Replies: 40, Topic Views: 4561 |

Quote: This has been discussed time and time again. I feel the rules are pretty clear on this, or at a minimum they don't address what some people claim, which is that features from a lower level profile belong on the main profile. I think it is a pretty big leap of faith to say because the child profile is optional that definitely means their features belong on the main profile. We have to go with what we have which states you use the details from the main profile only. And remember, you can always add them locally if you wish.
With that being said, I recognize this is highly divisive topic, so I have chosen the approach on if someone originally includes the lower level features on the main profile, I don't vote to remove them; I just don't accept the contribution for my collection. I would hope the same would be done in the opposite scenario. Recently someone did contribute these changes that were not how the profile was originally set up--I undid these contributions and they were approved. I agree with primetime21.
I hate the fact that if you want to know what disc to put in to find the features, you have to put the 4K in and check it. If it's not there you have to take it out and put the other one or 2 in depending on how many it has. I'm in full agreement with this. When I have a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray package, I want both discs in my collection with the profile for each accurately reflecting what's on the disc.
This means the main profile looks a little barebones (features are offered only on the Blu-ray disc), but at least I know which one to put in my player to listen to a commentary or access other extra features.
Because the profile reflects the entire package and not each disc, I bought the Kong: Skull Island 4K Ultra HD said from eBay because it was cheap and didn't come with the Blu-ray disc. I thought that was fine because I would never use the Blu-ray disc. When I looked at the disc menu, I realised I'd bought something with the commentary, not the other supplementary material. | Posted: Topic Replies: 40, Topic Views: 4561 |

Quote: It's the last paragraph of the box set section (underlining from me):
Quote: Sets containing the same film on multiple media types (such as a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack) are to be entered as a normal profile for the main media type (Blu-ray in this example), with all included media types checked. A combo which includes HD media (HD-DVD, Blu-ray) as well as DVD should use the details from the HD media in the main profile. However, you may add an additional profile by Disc ID for the DVD content and add this profile to the Box Set contents for the Blu-ray profile.
Extrapolate that for 4K/Blu-ray combos with the 4K as the main profile, and the blu-ray in the bonus profile slot. Thanks.
I take from that it means that a 4K disc with no extra features should have a profile reflecting that, with all the features listed on the Blu-ray child profile, or have I misread it? | Posted: Topic Replies: 40, Topic Views: 4561 |
