| Posted: | | | | Very nice setup. I like the marquee. My home theatre was all budget and with the exception of the front and center speakers it was short money.

I have to say my setup sounds better than the theatre and the LCD projector shines bright and clear. I enjoy it better than the theatre. I'll be glad when the new house I am in has the equpment setup again. | | | Last edited: by Bill MacNeill |

They're fantastic. I've nearly filled the first one and am preparing to buy a second one. | | | "I am Andrew Ryan and I am here to ask you a question: Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his own brow?

I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose… Rapture." |

Except instead of the standard fold-up movie theatre seats I want to have those nice home-theatre seats you see everywhere now they hook together but are sold separately with armrests, drink holders, etc. in them. I have no idea how, but somehow I even got ym wife onboard, and her only request is that we have one of those cool old-fashioned popcorn machines. Basically a popcorn machine on 2 wheels that has the bucket suspending in the middle and as it fills, it spills over the side and fills the glass case with popcorn. If that's her only conditions.. well, sold! Of course, then real life comes in and spoils things. When/If we even get such a thing I guess I'll never know. Probably not until we retire at this rate. But hey, it's a dream. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

| Posted: | | | | My downstairs family room is pretty much unfinished so I have free reign as to what I want to do with it. The only problem is that there's a support pole almost in the middle of the room that hinders what layout I pick. But eventually, I'll have a 110" screen with a 1080 projector with 7.1 surround sound. |

Like the look, but don't like the mess. Currently we have settled for a small microwave in the game room and we pop as we go (still get the popcorn smell in the theater room, but just not the same). The room was my office/spare bedroom but when wireless became the norm, I began doing more work on the sofa, so I converted the room into the theater. The only restriction my wife put on me was that I could not damage the walls, baseboards, etc. The room needed to be able to be turned back into a bedroom without a major expense or effort. So the the screen wall is nothing more than curtains & drapes and the screen is actually hung like a picture. The theater seats I got from the local theater chain for only $25 per seat. So pretty cheap. I also wanted the nicer chairs, but in retrospect, we are able to fit more people in there this way which works out well during sporting events. The sofa is a sofa-bed for guests. For some reason my nephews keep wanting to stay at my house. david <-- still gets funny looks for having the croquet game on the game room ceiling. | | | Last edited: by dmfdavid |

I have the woodface version and love it. Until my wife came back from vacation with 100 more DVDs and I have to consider getting another one Easy to put together, easy to anchor to wall, easy to load up with 700+ DVDs. You purchased wisely. | | | Jesse C. Slicer jcslicer@gmail.com https://theslice.dreamwidth.org/ |

| Posted: | | | | Here is my basement room for music listening and movies. The shelves are self made and there are eight units of them, I could'nt get all to fit in the picture. The room is too small. | | | Once a hippie, always a hippie. | | | Last edited: by A.E. Neuman |

Dude...I bought 2 of them and they're both already full. Gonna have to order another but I don't know where I'm going to put it . My problem is I live in an 1 bedroom apartment would love one of these big units but no room. If I did find room it would make my apartment so crowded. |

Does anyone have any ideas as to where I may source these from in the UK. I need more storage and these would be ideal. Ritch | | | Learning is not mandatory, but then neither is survival. |
