So we follow rules (exactly as on cover) for T4XI, and we do what we want for I Spy ?

Well I didn’t mention the web address at all.  Often (because the preferred one has already been taken or as a result of the limitations of what symbols can be used) the web addresses for films don’t always reflect the exact title, so there’re probably not especially good sources to base any naming decision on.  Having said this, in this case it so happens the web address contains the name without anything between I and Spy, which suggests the version with nothing between the I and Spy is correct; (because as an alternative, a hyphen or a dot could have been put in, whereas a gap couldn’t have been as then it wouldn't have been a valid address).

In the case of T4XI I don’t know why it’s not the same; perhaps it’s following a web address format set up for the previous films in the series?  Or perhaps the web site address was registered before the final name/artwork for the film was decided upon?  Certainly www.t4xi.com is presently registered to another company.  In this case, other than the web addess, everything appearing on the site appears to tally with the DVD cover and seems to point to the title being T4XI rather than TAXI4 /TAXI 4, so the situation is different to that for I Spy / I (insert your preferred symbol here with or without gaps around it) Spy.

I can understand both point of views. To me it would be graphical decoration without any meaning. But this fundamental ambiguity of such graphically enhanced titles is the reason to check the credit block for clarification what to enter into a text-only field.
