So, I missed the forum moderator's request and posted those thoughts.
Although it is hard to ignore responding to attacking posts, I will do my best to do do except for red flagging them.

| | Posted: | | | | Getting back to the topic at hand, I usually clone data from a DVD profile when a Blu-ray catalog title is released, but only when there is no real cast or crew in the profile. Better to have data that is most likely correct than no data at all. If someone wants to take the time to recheck the entire credits for a title that was -- according to contributions in the original profile -- already audited, more power to them. But I don't have the time for that. I purchase a lot of films and can't go through the credits for each and every one when I have to scan the covers and add the rest of the pertinent data, especially when it has already been done. That's why the cloning option exists. |
