I know that is what they probably did and the title of the box is probably misleading, but they are lazy, to lazy to read the rules or check out the contents of the DVD,

Your championing these types of contribution errors is why the on-line db is in the shape it is, pure and simple.
We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.

I don't think you apologized enough and understood where my anger and my language came from.

WOW what make you so special to make you think you deserve any apology after you start a thread calling people lazy?

Don't expect to be treated with respect if you can't respect other member (by exemple how you jump on Neil in a common name thread). I don't ask apologies when I'm the fire starter and this is an usual fact with everyone else...

The way you write is most of the time insulting (many exemples of this in your posting history) and I don't think the fact you aren't a native english speaker had something to do with that.

So try to thing at the way you started this tread and the way you write a little bit, maybe if you change the other here will treat you differently...

I am still not sure MikaLove that you are reading the same thread I am reading. To me it seems that you are overreacting here. I also think that using your medical condition as an excuse for your inflammatory posts is the wrong way to go. You wouldn't like it if people would use your condition against you, would you?

Just because you think they are lazy doesn't make it so.  As I said, it could have been a simple mistake.

I don't believe I am championing anything.  What I am doing, however, is allowing for the fact that it might have been an error.  I am not going to demonize, or call people names, just because they made an error.

What more do you want?
If you expect grovelling and endless repetitions of "I'm sorry", you're looking in the wrong place. I made an error in judgement, and I apologised for that, if you are unable to accept that apology in the vein in which is was given then that is your problem.

You have yet to apologise for the swearing and insulting remarks you have made - instead all you do is make excuses for them. That's simply hypocritical.

I wrote more and then deleted it. It's simply not worth it.

I read your post before you changed it. There was nothing wrong with what you said. I pretty much agree with what you said and feel same way.

Love you Martian dude!! Such laid back responses. By the way you have been a HUGE asset to this program and the forums...i dont think i can remember you acting all "this is how it is done" . keep up the great work! (im not a big butt kisser by the way... )

This attitude is kind of misguided.  I have never heard The martian once champion an error, though apparently he is a little more forgiving of mistakes than you (and others) are.

Not that he needs my defense, but when it comes to the rules, I believe that he gives his best and most honest interpretation of rules.  I do not necessarily agree with him all the time, but that is what it is.

I do no necessarily understand this term "Lazy" that everybody is banting about.

If i choose to contribute a full cast or crew list, and do not bother with the common name aspects, apparently I am lazy.  (I commend those that "CHOOSE" to do the research).

Or if I contribute cast and crew and don't bother with properly updating SRP, I guess I am lazy there also.

This DB is a user built DB.  Everybody that contributes, "CHOOSES" to do so, and VOLUNTEERS their time to do so.  If a person wants to contribute only production years, then he/she is allowed to do so.  Other people will do other areas and hopefully the profile will get completed.

All that is asked of other people, is to evaluate the accuracy of what is contributed, and hopefully say "Thank You"

The only thing that I ask of the contributors and voters.  If you contribute, make sure what you contribute is accurate, per the rules.  If you vote, please vote according to the rules.  SIMPLE.

I don't see why there's a need to get worked up so much.

The system has its merits but also its flaws. For one, I think common names, linking and birth years could be handled better. But we need to accept that and have faith a better system will come eventually, from Invelos.

Also, to be human is to err. Even by checking and even double checking discs and menus, people can still make honest mistakes. I've done so in the past myself. Not because I was unwilling to check or anything, it was a simple and honest mistake. Those things happen.

Striving to get an as accurate as possible online DB is commendable but in the end, we all try our best to follow the rules and contribute to the best of our abilities, taking into consideration time, equipment, etc

Finally, let's be thankful for anyone willing to invest the time to add to the online DB. Lately I haven't been contributing due to severe lack of time so I appreciate the contributors all the more, fully knowing that errors do and will happen, but that's par for the course.

DAMN! I hate this forum. It deletes all you have written if you take too long to reply. That function sucks! I have never been on another forum with that flaw.

I had written some wise words and now they are gone. Just like that. GRRR!
I simply forgot to copy the text before sending.

Anyway I have to write a short reply because I don't remember everything I wrote. *continues swearing*

I first of all dislike the comment above about having my name changed to something else than "love". I AM capable of love and if you don't think so you can either be quiet about it or learn more about me.
And for the record my username is created to honor a girl I used to love.

Either way I see that I made the terrible mistake to accuse Silence_of_Lambs for attacking me.
I apologize for that.

And I think this whole topic may have been created based on and fueled by some misunderstandings.

Either way I want you all to agree that I was not alone in causing trouble. Even if I used bad language, you weren't exactly passing the peace pipe around either and you let me know that I was a bad person, etc, etc.
Some could read between the lines and see that I am in fact correct about that there are bad contributions and incorrect, hasty voting. But also some incorrect interpretation of the rules or usage of them.
I wish people would be more serious and careful when they vote.
If you think that people are only people and can make errors, you also need to think that I have made some errors and can forgive me and not still think I am a bad guy.
