Please don't misuse the spoiler tags. People looove to do this on many forums, it gets REAL old REAL fast, it is not in any way funny and does not make you look "clever."

Who's trying to be clever or funny?  I was simply making it so that people who aren't interested in off-topic stuff didn't have to read it.

bbbbb, might I suggest that one way to stop people sending you abusive pm's is that you stop repeatedly submitting minor alterations to the same titles constantly. In the past month you have submitted 8 contributions to the UK DVD of the Living Daylights, usually just adding one crew member at a time. You told me last week that you were going to stop doing this but, lo and behold, this morning there's yet another contribution from you. Trying to get your contribution count up? Why? It's not a competition.

You should be ashamed of yourself to belie these contributions.

Not particularly.

It's quite possible that the original contribution was declined in error. The Screeners are only human after all & mistakes happen.

Thruth is that the screeners do not follow their own rules, this case is not isolated, it happens constantly.

As for doing one contribution at a time when you KNOW that you've got others, while it may not technically be against the rules, as others have said, it unnecessarily adds extra work for the Screeners, and can be seen as being quite childish.

It doesn't really arouse my compassion for the screeners, who made commonly occuring conflicting decisions.

They should be concerned about my waste of effort and time to start with.

Anyway, I have withdrawn about 40 current contributions which had a 286 to 0 voting count, this should save the overchallenged screeners some time.

Then I have decided to not contribute or vote to contributions anymore at all. Nobody gets annoyed by a contribution of mine or has to insult me, and calm is restored.

Instead I will chill-out in the forums, have a look at some cat lover pics or so...

Thanks for pointing this error out - it is no longer possible to block forum admins, and all existing blocks have been removed.  It is important that users are able to receive notices from forum admins, otherwise admins would be unable to warn users before taking stronger actions like forum bans.

And what about my waste of time in having to repeatedly vote on your minor changes which could be done in one go, and for me then to also have to check the changes again when I'm downloading updated profiles?

So, if you can't submit one profile change at a time without grief, you'll "take your toys and go home"?

If it seems that the screeners constantly don't follow their own rules, perhaps it's because you do not fully understand the rules?

It had been done in one go.

And you had to repeatedly vote?

You appear to be quite dumb. I am not saying that is the case but that it appears that way.

Now users even should have a guilty conscience about their work and about their correct contributions to the database?

Because they are loading something onto screeners and, of all things, voters?

How funny.

You are right, it is useful that your emloyees can reach users anytime.

But, if a Forum Moderator or a forum admin already writes to an user inevitably, he should leastwise inform him that strong actions like manipulating forum posts already has been taken.

Btw, is it on purpose that you can block a hostile user repeatedly?

I've blocked AESP_pres 22 times.

Is this a stronger security against insults than blocking AESP_pres only, for example, 7 times?

Perhaps this conversation should get taken offline?  This thread seems to have lost all useful purpose.  Now it's just one bitter user and everybody reacting to it.

I agree. At the very least it should be locked. It's certainly reached a conclusion in respect of the OP.

I'm a little late to the party on this one, but since everyone seems to be unfairly piling on bbbbb I feel I should speak up.

While I agree that he could've chosen a better course of action, I don't see what the big deal is to go about it the way he did. He certainly didn't deserve the bashing he's received in this thread.

Sure, it would've been more efficient to send a PM to Gerri or perhaps ask about the declined contribution in the forum. Often Ken or Gerri will step in and either offer a reason for the decline, or even accept the submission if it was declined by mistake.

But bbbbb either didn't know to do that, or chose another way to approach the problem. And so what? A bit more work for voters and contributors? Big whoop. He's doing work that everyone can benefit from, and as such I don't think it was called for to treat him the way he has been in this thread.
