@ mreeder50, I hope it does the same for you.
My next step is trying to get HTTPJolie Version 1.21 working in it's HTTP mode.
@ GSyren, thanks for all your HTTPJolie debugging work. Once I have HTTPJolie running in the HTTP mode, I look forward to using your compatible plug-ins. You can also thank GSyren for TCP mode. We designed it so that one would not have to run DVD Profiler in elevated mode to use his tools. So, you are GOOD TO GO!!!! | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | By the way, the guts if HTTPJolie are the same for both modes. So, it is highly unlikely that TCP mode is "working" and HTTP mode is "not working", unless DVD Profiler is running unelevated. HTTP uses a different port, but uses exactly the same command format as the TCP mode, and must be running "as administrator." | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. The OverviewCheckPlus plug-in from GSyren works great via HTTPJolie Version 1.21 I still can't get HTTPJolie Version 1.21 working in it's HTTP mode. |

| Posted: | | | | DVD Profiler needs to be "Run As Administrator" for HTTP mode to work. And of course the port is different for HTTP. Default is 41395. I hope you have taken advantage of those crappy videos I made! | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | So, apparantly I need this to run one of GSyrens plugins...
Even though I think it is f'ing annoying and stupid to have people register for free software (1), I did, and it now says "Order complete" - but it doesn't give me a link to download it!?
(1) I read a survey once, that about 70% of potential customers skips the product if they have to register in order to download the software advertised as "free", as the registration process is more often than not considered "phishing", because you give the company personal information that they have absolutely no use for, other than spamming you or selling your information on... | | | The future is here. Something in the upper right corner, if I remember correctly. Quote: I read a survey once, that about 70% of potential customers skips the product if they have to register in order to download the software advertised as "free", as the registration process is more often than not considered "phishing" I'm 100% sure that mediadogg is not a "phisher", and you don't even have to enter your actual address or phone number. mediadogg just wants to get a sense of how many people actually download his plugin, and I understand that. I personally would love to know how many people actually use my programs. Sometimes I feel a bit like The Beatles' Nowhere Man - "Making all his software tools for nobody". But yes, I had the same initial reaction to having to register. Quoting hydr0x: Quote: the password reset mail is not arriving I had that problem too. But if you ask mediadogg nicely I'm sure he'll fix that for you. And to all: Persevere - HTTPJolie is worth it! | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Hi guys. I've been working on some other things (yes, mediadogg has a life ) I notice there is a download indicator now, so maybe you have discovered the "Digital Downloads" tab when you log in. Anybody can also just PM me or send me an email from the web site if you have problems. That's better support than you get from software that you paid hundreds for, and also willingly told them everything about you. I need absolutely no personal info. Erase anything personal. Obviously the email has to be valid, but it does not have to be the same one you use for your friends or your bank. I hope you enjoy using the software. Please keep me posted if any issues or feature requests (try THAT with Microsoft ). By the way, "phishing" refers to a malicious, secretive attempt to gather information. That is not the correct term to use when you willfully share information in return for something else. In my case, I have even made a public statement that my site does not require real info, unless of course you buy something that I have to send you. Even then, I have no access to any info that is used by the payment gateway. All protected, just like any other eCommerce site. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Quote: I notice there is a download indicator now, so maybe you have discovered the "Digital Downloads" tab when you log in. I did, yes. When installing, I then ran into another problem - it kept giving me the error "Setup has detected that HTTP-Jolie is currently running." It took me longer than I am willing to admit to figure out that it meant DVDProfiler, not HTTP-Jolie. When I closed DVDP, it installed without a hitch! :-) | | | The future is here. | Posted: | | | | Thanks for reporting back. It means a lot to get feedback. That's what we developers thrive on. That message is pretty typical. Without getting too much into the weeds, it is because the plugin installer "sees" the same executable already in memory. Otherwise, two copies of the plugin (and / or DVD Profiler) would have to be allowed. I don't think so ...
