| Posted: | | | | Some of you need to wake up and smell the coffee. This thread has been going since September 26, 2008 - more than 4 years and over 600 posts of people requesting, pleading, and cajoling Invelos for an Android app. You'll be waiting for 2-3 more years for a working product. And what will Android support be like when it finally does come out?
I loved DVDProfiler but left it long ago when I realized just how low a priority the Android platform is for Invelos. I harbor no hard feelings, Ken has a business to run as he sees fit and I've had choices to make. It's all good. |

Cant find anything about it. What is it. An upgrade to the online collection feature ? The forum search isn't very good and Google works better. We're going on 4 years now since the announcement but here's the original thread where it was mentioned. http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=350265... and this is on the front page back from when 3.8 was first released ... | Posted: | | | | Everyone, you may as well forget about DVD Profiler for the Android, it's damn obvious that he doesn't want you're cash so you might as well give up on dvd profiler and find an alternative. I found Mymoviescollection: http://www.mymovies.dk/products/my-movies-for-android.aspx It's £3.99 and is a fantastic little app. I have been using it for months and it supports dvdprofilers export into it Let's get things straight, Ken can't be bothered with making an android version of dvdp, it was hinted that a beta version was in the making a while ago, but it isn't here so he obviously cannot be bothered. I for one got fed up of waiting and hearing all the pathetic excuses and apple fanboys in this thread alone that it made me look elseware. Mymoviescollection is £3.99, it imports dvdp export files and works wonder's, leave Ken and his apple buddy's alone and go try it out. Ken doesn't want you're money or care for an android version, so dont waste you're time with waiting on an android version of dvdp and go try/grab Mymoviescollection and leave Ken alone. EDIT: the post that Ken posted stating an upcoming android version is here for apple fanboys that want to argue otherwise: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=609094Stay tuned for news on our updated (version 1.2) iPhone/iPad app soon, followed by the beta release of our Android app 1.0...Still, although I'd have happily paid £15 for an android version of dvdp, since Ken hasn't been bothered with it at all I'll probably just keep Mymoviescollection now. At least they had the decency and catered for all of the market. At the end of the day, I bet it just boils down to cold hard cash and Ken cannot strike a deal with the android market. | | | Last edited: by nero041001 |

I use My Movies instead. Works fine for Android and uses barcode to registrate new movies. |

(in the same fashion that ones which are missing are submitted for dvd profiler) It's what I've been doing for missing ones. (although the only ones I've carried over are ones that I want on my phone) | | | Paul | | | Last edited: by pauls42 |

| Posted: | | | | If there wasn't an Android version being worked on, then why does the Invelos main page exclaim, "Stay tuned for Android 1.0"? |

| Posted: | | | | Would be a nice move to release it for Christmas. That would show them ... Yes, Virginia, there is an Android App for DVD Profiler. |

Well, first of all nobody can say for sure that there is no work on it, that's all just guesswork. Unfortunately on the other hand there is no proof of work either, but that shouldn't surprise a lot of people her, that kind of "keeping it closed until the release" was always Ken's method. I'll use kitarolivier's 3rd-party-app for now and I am content. My main focus is on the PC-program anyways, so why get all worked up? YMMV of course. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | There is also this little app that is very quick and clean. The link to the download is no longer available, but I still have the download and could send it to you via email. Here is what I said at the time, after the download and install. It doesn't show you 3D, but most people are aware of all there 3Ds. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
