Because the rules says to use the Standard Spacing... and I know how to figure out the standard spacing. If there is doubt on it it is easy enough to figure out by usually the credit block (note that the rules say to take the title from the front... not use the front to discover what the actual title is!) or other sources to find out.

While I do agree with the majority that the correct title is "Mean Girls", i have to admit that the colouring is a uniform blend over both words similar to the box that I have created above the title.

On each word the coloring is different... that is what the rules say... that is what the case shows. the is an even mixture of 2 colors on one word. and one color (or an extremely different) coloring on the second word. So per Rules it is Mean Girls.

On each letter, the coloring is different. So, your application of rules should be "M e a n g i r l s". You have no place for Mean Girls (why split between N and G ? , why not Mea Ngirls ?).

Well I'll stop here that stupid discussion. You see I can too use bad faith, and that will bring nothing good. Just waiting for a new rule that will come or not, as Ken wants. Until then I will vote no on Mean Girls.

Come on, now you are just spinning around twisting things. Pete said it already "Standard Spacing"!

Is the blending the same in the 2 words? if it was I would say you have a point. But the rules just say a difference in colorizing... if the blending is different between the words... then the colorizing is different.  That is all the rules ask for.

There is a (I see no dark in the second word... though that could be my eyesight... but even if not... there is at least slight) difference in colorizing between the N of Mean and the G of Girls. Show me in the rules where it has to be of any certain degree of difference then.

IMO the blending is the same for both words. And yes, there are dark parts in the second word.

OK... I will happily take your word on that (both colors in both words) But there is no way (IMHO) that the blending is even close to the same since Mean is evenly split (half dark and half lighter)...and Girls is almost totally lighter. So in my eyes... the coloring is very different so I would definitely vote yes to such a change as I honestly believe it is right per the rules we have now. And what more can you do but vote with what you truly believe is right per the rules?

Your demonstration is so clear that nothing else should be said. But when people do not want to see...

Some people don't want to see and other people are looking for something. What is this good for?

The rules can never reflect any eventuality!

That's why I agree to this:

Vote according to how you interpret the rules and let the screeners make the final determination.

Not only vote. Also contribute.

For parts that are in your opinion not clear: Explain it in the notes, so the voters and screeners can decide with the whole information provided.

It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

agree 100%.. plus giving your honest interpretation of the rules when asked on the forum. Though that is getting pretty difficult when some attempts to smear your name when your reading of the rules differs from theirs. Makes you question if it is worth it.

Can you elaborate? Have you given a thumb down because I agree that the title is "Mean Girls" or don't you like that the blending is uniform?
