No, as with here you simply spent your days complaining about the rules. You know it, I know it, anyone who was around back then knows it. Trying to retroactively change history will not gain you credibility. And as you refuse to contribute, the rules have no impact on you anyway. So why bother whingeing about them?

No. You didn't.
Yes. I did.

It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

IMO you all are a buntch of nut jobs. Argueing over quanity of contributions. That was then what have you done for me lately. I got this program to organize my DVD's. After I started adding DVD's to my database I realized what a train wreck it was. Incorrect names (the CLT is useless on 50% of names), studios and media co. not listed or incorrect, IMDB lists of cast and charactors, production years and titles not matching.
You old guard argue over the dumbest stuff. So whoever thinks they have done more for the database (contributions, rules committee, forum posts) go ahead and take credit for the disaster that we all have now.
So instead of a forum for what DVD's or BD you've bought, how about a forum showing what profile contributions you've made this week. Something a little more pertinent to the database.

Well, since you signed up for the asylum and are participating........................................I guess it would be fair to change your first sentence to:" IMO we are all a bunch of not jobs."

I've only ever complained about the interpretation of the rules, which I had every right to do as I was one of the panel that helped shape them. Where were you then? Oh sorry, I forgot, you prefer an arse-kicking contest purely based on numbers. And I'm not after credibility, but there you go again! Why does my number of contributions reflect on my credibility as a user? I never contributed much, but my tags show me it was a lot more than "single".

I'm not. I was trying to get one of those nested quote threads going and it ended after 3?! Rubbish.

I know I'm being part of the problem right now and I'm only doing it for shiitake mushrooms and giggles, but frankly, your comment is pretty much the reason why I even care that much. I haven't been on these boards for years, but the same arguments are going on and despite all that, you found a poor database.

You did write that Ken give a good technical support, so asking you for a proof is a reasonable request. Your words aren't a proof to me...

That's too bad.

Says the loudmouth with a single contribution and a whopping 12 votes to his name in eleven years. At least samuelrichardscott makes regular contributions to the database and has earned the right to an opinion, JonM is just a waste of space. If you don't contribute then keep you trap shut and stay in the peanut gallery.

Your quite an idiot my dear
Since when anyone if force to contribute anything to the database...
BTW Jon is one of the very first user of DVDP and I'm sure he did contribute a ton of works way before you were there.

Playing the "my father is stronger than yours" game isn't really brilliant or usefull

"We are amused."

You wouldn't guess how much ...

From the last 30 pages I would have estimated your ages to about 13, the "No, you didn't ... Yes, I did" postings saw me in the need to correct this estimation to about 4-ish.

But seriously,

I too would like to see more participation of Invelos in their forums. Even though my theory, that one or the other clarification by Invelos would abbreviate the the discussion-process immensely, was just recently proven wrong (source: here, a clarification by Invelos was given on page 2, total length of the thread 10 pages!).

When having problems with a software and contacting the support (not the forum!) I'm expecting a response within a weeks time (In fact I'm expecting a response within 30 seconds, but that is only wishful thinking  ). Response times of over two weeks can in no way be regarded as sufficient.

Invelos is in the lucky position to have a user-base that are willing to answer (almost) identical questions over and over again, if they would really still care for the project "DVDProfiler" they at least would have updated the Help-function of the program to the current features (and not something from version 3.0), not to mention an update of the FAQs.
Outdated help-functions that no longer match the features and capabilities of the program can in no way be regarded as sufficient.

So, yes, the support by Invelos is terrible!
Not for those experienced users that over the time learned all the tweaks and tricks, but for those new users that in their need for answers come to the forums. Here they meet, if they are really lucky, someone who is actually trying to help them, and if they have a liitle less luck, someone who is sick and tired of having to point the way to the database repair utility for the 278th time.

So to all of you experienced users that consider the support by Invelos as "sufficient": Just for a second imagine you would be a first-time user and run into a problem at installation (let's say: 2 Access Violation Errors at startup [Solved]). After opening a support ticket and posting your problem in the forum you get no response from Invelos for let's say 4 weeks would you really still consider the support to be "good"?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Why you refuse to back up your words by a proof? Maybe it's because you can't and just play the majorette as you usually do...

See I even did the works for you some post ago because you are an uselesss majorette... Now tell me how this is good technical support in place of playing the f-u-c-k-e-e fanboy as you usually do

Yes I did but I didn't know it was an Asylum when I did. And you won't see me using the amount of contributions as an arguement. That is what my nut job comment was directed at. Like my dad always said you can polish a turd all you want, but it's still a turd.

at the crux of your argument being "I typed more words than you, so there!"
