| Posted: | | | | You can play a bit with 2.5.0 and see how it works for you. It may have bugs, I haven't really had time to test it properly. It does have one problem; the divider edit window has an annoying habit of disappearing behind other windows. I'll look into that, but I'd like to hear your views on how I handle crew dividers. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | I just had a quick view on 2.5.0. What can I say, it's even better than I thought, great idea to check the category of the person I clicked on to set the category. I have seen just two inconsistencies and one typo: * Adding a new divider will open the window centered on the screen, not centered on the main window. Editing a divider will open that window centered to the main window. * Adding a new divider to the cast section, will also show the category drop-down menu. Editing a divider on cast will not show this. * The category drop-down has "MUsic" as an item. Quoting GSyren: Quote: It does have one problem; the divider edit window has an annoying habit of disappearing behind other windows. As far as I can tell, this only happens when adding a new divider, not when editing. | | | |

| Posted: | | | | And in case you didn't notice, the group start divider is placed above the selected person but the group end divider is placed below the selcted person. That seemed to make sense. I'll look into the inconsistencies, and the misspelling, as well as the shy divider edit window. And if you have any other concerns or wishes, just let me know. I'll probably take the rest of the day off.. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Sigh, neither you nor I really believed that I'd be able to keep my fingers in check when there are bugs to be fixed, right StaNDarD? Well, we were right. So now there is version 2.5.1 | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Now you made me laugh out loud for real... Well, all bugs seem to be fixed. During my first real use of your little tool, I realized two (last?) things I personally like to have: 1. When adding dividers, I think they should automatically be checked and on cast be moved behind the last checked row. That's simply because I don't see any other reason to add a divider other than to import it to DVD Profiler... 2. Please give me an option to save window position AND size and an option to omit the automatic resize. That's because I would like to open CastCrewCheck side-by-side with PowerDVD... | | | |

| Posted: | | | | I just stumbled upon another error. Adding a new crew member with Category "Other", will be exported like this: Quote: <Credit FirstName="Stephen" MiddleName="" LastName="Izzi" BirthYear="0" CreditType="Other" CreditSubtype="" CreditedAs="" CustomRole="Stunt Double: Tom Bowen" /> Unfortunately CreditSubtype is not allowed to be empty by DVD Profiler. Instead this has to be exported like this: Quote: <Credit FirstName="Stephen" MiddleName="" LastName="Izzi" BirthYear="0" CreditType="Other" CreditSubtype="Custom" CreditedAs="" CustomRole="Stunt Double: Tom Bowen" /> | | | |

| Posted: | | | | That's how I feel right now...... I just lost the work of half an hour, just before I finished a movie's data, because the program crashed for some unknown reason... Is it possible to add an automatic backup feature? Just automatically export cast-/crew-data every minute or even better when checking a row. Delete this backup when the program is shutting down correctly. When a backup exists while starting the program, ask to load or dismiss the backup. | | | |

| Posted: | | | | No error message, just Windows telling me that CastCrewCheck2 has crashed.
I had just added a crew member and was moving him up to the correct position. On the way up, the program suddenly crashed. - Maybe I was hitting the button to fast?

| Posted: | | | | I wasn't able to duplicate the error you encountered, StaNDarD, so in order not to cause you that kind of frustration again, I did implement the automatic backup you requested.
Hopefully you won't need it, though. New version: 2.7.0 | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | I couldn't reproduce this either...
Unfortunately the automatic backup feature doesn't work for me - there's no backup showing up in the programs folder. When I kill CCC via Task Manager and restart, I won't get asked to load / dismiss a backup.

| Posted: | | | | No, the backup isn't supposed to go in the program folder, but in the temp folder. In Win7 that's C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Temp and it's actually two files, CastBackup.xml and CrewBackup.xml.
Could you check if they are created there? | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, they will be created. When they exist on program-start I get asked to load these data - and this works great. Unfortunately these files will be deleted when I kill the program via Task Manager->Processes, so this didn't work when I tried it earlier. But when I kill the program via Task Manager->Details, the files persist - so I guess they will on a program crash. Big thank you for this. And - of course - here's another feature request: I need a function to quickly move crew members. There are two ideas in my head, you don't have to realize both. 1. Create an additional "move-below-last-checked-row-button". 2. Let me move multiple lines with the "move-up-button".* Either way would speed up my re-ordering a lot. * Right now I can select multiple lines - but when clicking on move up, only one line is moved. | | | |

| Posted: | | | | Version 2.8.0As usual I'm a sucker for a challenge (don't tell anyone ) Multiselect move implemented for crew (up and down) Holding ctrl down while clicking the up arrow for crew will move the (first) selected item below the last checked row. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users.
