I still don't get it, why the rules forum should not be open to everybody. Fortunately the days of the secret rules committee are over.

It is open to everybody...you just have to request access.  My guess is that this weeds out the people who really don't care and allows for the exclusion of trouble makers.

Those, who don't care, will not read it anyway. And trouble makers should be excluded from all forums.

Well said.

I've asked for rules access at least three times to no avail. I suppose I'm a troublemaker.

At least a PM from whoever makes the decision (I'm assuming Gerri because that's who it goes to) saying I've been denied would be nice.

I would open a support ticket and ask why my application hasn't been processed yet. And if it would have been denied, why I haven't got an answer.

I'm not sure what happened but I sent 3 or 4 pms and never got a response. This was over a period of many months.

Finally, I expressed my frustration in the forums and the next day I received my acceptance.

I doubt people are denied. I'm sure you and your application are in the same situation I was.

Or...you just might be a trouble maker!

I, too, asked many times by PM without answer. Then I opened a support ticket and was accepted the day after. It seems that Ken and Gerri quite never read their PMs.
