Of course it is in my belief, who else would I be speaking for?  In my opinion, Additional Voices is an actor credit.  You don't have to agree...though I wish you could disagree in a less condescending manner...but Ken does, and that is all that matters.

But Additional Voice still refers to voice actors so your comparison doesn't fit.

Just for my own amusement, let me post this screencap from a film I recently audited:

So seeing that we "don't know more than the filmmakers", and the filmmakers call them "cast", I'm sure you'll diligently profile them as such.

No I haven't watched the film yet.

But I did find this review that states that they appear in the film.

Quote:
With Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morisette, Natalie Cole and even Robbie sodding Williams all appearing on-stage at one point or another,

I could scan through the film and see if this is correct (asap) or it someone else can they can confirm that they do appear in the film.

Shame this never occurred to me before!

Sheryl Crow:

John Barrowman:

Robbie Williams:

Alanis Morrissette:

I think this pretty much confirms they actually appear in the film and should be credited. I didn't check the rest of the names, but it sounds like they'll all be the same.

Another review seems to confirm that they do indeed appear in the film.

Even more distracting is the use of contemporary pop stars to appear and perform songs in period dress. When they aren't recognizable, like Robbie Williams and Mick Hucknall, it's not too bad, but when confronted with Elvis Costello, Natalie Cole, Sheryl Crow and Diana Krall (looking as if she smells boiled cabbage), it yanks you out of the story. The largest showcase is reserved for Alanis Morrisette doing "Let's Do It." She dances fine, looks appropriate, but the moment she opens her mouth, you're immediately thinking about the singer and not the song. It's not her fault - she's simply miscast.

Just in case you missed it amongst all the arguing, I still suggest this form of crediting:

Quoting northbloke:
Quote:

<Divider>Musical Performers<Divider>
name: Cole Porter, role: "You're the Top"
name: Robbie Williams, role: "It's De-Lovely"

and so on...

As I think it gives us the relevant info without worrying about nested dividers.

That indeed seems to be the appropriate method of handling this.

They still are NOT listed in the CAST. Simple, therow out your crystal ball, it's broken beyond repair.

Cubby you listed it, they are listed totally separately from the Cast are they NOT, that's what you said. You have a list clearly labeled CAST and that list does NOT include Musical Performers does it...NO!!!! It doesn't..

In that case, as I mentioned this as one of the two ways they would get credit, I have to agree...list them in the profile.

I guess I missed the rule that stated they all had to be under a specific heading in order to be entered.  I just had another look, and couldn't find that portion of the rule.  Could you point it out for me?

That's a lot more diplomatic than what I was about to post!

Based on that definition we would be unable to list anyone credited in the end credits outside the "standard" cast list.

But of course: heaven forbid you'd actually use some common sense... For the rest of us, though, voice actors are exactly that: actors.

Wow. Just... wow.

So, apparently, the new rule is, even if they people are in the movie, only those under the "Cast" heading can be entered in.

I guess I'll submit updates for all of my movies with the "Starring" heading.
