Well, I just wanted to test you and take an example and you fell for it.
But you should know that it's not that very common that they both show the logo and the name in print. And sometimes they leave out words in the print... Or so it can seem to some.

Mika:

Your test failed. there is one thing you need to know about me. I follow the data, NO EXCEPTIONS, I do not create interpretations, I do not imagine that I know MORE than the filmmakers, I simply follow the data. The ONLY time that this causes any issues at all is when we run into characters which are not handleable by the program, then and only then we have to fudge it, I don't like it, but it doeas happen. Otherwise I ALWAYS follow the data, so if I saw SVT I would list SVT because that is probably no more an abreviation that NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, A&E, ESPN.

I believe as i said that the abbreviations Ken was referring would be like Artisan Home Ent., which used to have to use, but we don't any longer. But the only person that could answer that for sure is Ken.
ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!

Right you do. Sure... Whatever. Maybe you need to look over your own voting before you claim such things. And you tell me that I lack knowledge?

To me, it's just blah, blah, blah.

I'm glad you're not the one in charge here.

It sounds to me like there is a disconnect here.

I really am a little confuse by this discussion.

This program catalogs DVD's not movies.  To veer away from what is actually on the disc, would go to cataloging Movies instead.

IMDB catalogs movies.  They started out by cataloging movies, therefore has all the linking in place.

Profiler Catalogs DVD's.  Cataloging DVD's and what is on the DVD's is why linking does not function like people want.  This DB and program was never geared toward that.  To do so at the level that people would like, would require a massive restructuring of the DB and a rewrite of the client and server program.

For now, we need to capture the info that is on the DVD accurately.  Maybe one day, this program will evolve into what some people want, and linking and commonality will work properly.  Until we get the DAta right that we have, it will not work.

sorry for the rant
