Ok, that's where I was confused.  I did add another part of my question, thought I had slipped the edit in there without anyone answering so I'll ask again...

I came across South Park: Imaginationland.  It has NR on the back, but on the front it says "Uncensored Director's Cut." This would be Unrated right?

Right... because it is an alternate cut so the first part of the rule comes into play.

Okay.  Thanks for the answers.  Though I just discovered that this release for South Park hadn't been changed to TV, so unrated isn't an option for TV, so I'll keep it at NR and just submit the TV rating.

No, because the other version never got a theatrical rating. This shoudl be in the TV rating system, where there is no unrated.

Sorry.... I didn't know it was a TV Show. If I did I would have said otherwise.

Note: I do know South Park is a TV Show... but took this as a movie from the series... like The Simpsons Movie.

So, I have a kid's cartoon (based on the Wizard of Oz) that has "unrated" on the back cover.

This would still get a NR because it does not qualify for Unrated, which is the highest rating, correct?

Personally, I'd put that one back in the cupboard and forget I ever saw the "unrated" on the back cover!

I agree.  According to the rules I'd say it should be Unrated.  But the rules don't require you to make any change and submit it.  If this is truly a kid's cartoon with nothing bad in it, I simply wouldn't submit the change to give it the "correct" rating.  That's where common sense wins out over the rules in my opinion.

Imaginationland was a 3? 4? part episode arc that they did a couple seasons ago.  I did see that my copy hadn't been changed to TV so did change that and leave it at NR.

I do have another question, though.  Sorry, I'm full of them today!    I have a NR film...that's what is on the back cover.  However, I'm pretty sure it'd be classified as "adult" as it does contain content not suitable for minors (nudity).  It has adult as one of the genres, but should the rating reflect this?  I don't think it could be Unrated as it specifically has "Not Rated" on the back.

I would also recommend locking it... since if someone does decide to change it per rules you wouldn't want it to get overwritten.

Adult always confused me... is Adult being saved for just stuff like the XXX Ratings... or is something like Playboy videos and Girls Gone Wild considered Adult as well? I personally would change it to adult at least  locally anyway.

If it helps, it's not porn; it's a broadway play that was filmed at one performance.  The thing that makes it "adult" is that it was performed with all the actors nude.  So not something that the average person would want their kids viewing...

I'll hold off on that one then, till more people chime in.  How about another one? *grins* For some reason, the exceptions are just throwing me and of course I'm not finding easy ones in my database to fix.  Leon: The Professional was released with a rating, but the dvd I have is marked NR, this qualifies for a change to Unrated, yes?

Do you know if it is an alternate cut? like a Director's Cut or what have you... if it is an alternate cut from the theatrical release it would be considered Unrated.

Curiously, I seem to be unable to force a download of localities.xod.

Depending on your OS, look in
C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\DVD Profiler

Ah so that's where it's hiding .

However, I am still unable to force a download of the new improved file from Invelos; the one in
AppData\.... remains my edited version. Am I missing something here?

Edit: OK, got it sorted now.....    Shiny!
