From what I understand not all are maintaining both... I know 2 stations here already said they are sticking to the old date.

Exactly right.  A lot of stations starting running in parallel a couple weeks ago to work out all the kinks, and that costs them a hell of a lot of money to maintain two signals like that.  Not many of them are going to want to continue doing that for another six months.

In any case, this delay is nothing but glad-handing by the Democrats to distract people from the boondoggle of the so-called 'Stimulous' plan they're trying to cram down our throats!

All the stations here have announced they're going all digital this month regardless of the extension.

Looks like the FCC is trying to pressure stations into not making the switch early. "They will require any station that still wants to end analog transmissions by Feb. 17 to let the FCC know by Feb. 9 and to air at least 120 PSA's informing viewers of that fact between now and Feb. 17, according to an FCC spokesperson." Source

WENN is also reporting that network owned stations will not make the switch until June. Public broadcasting stations might be another story though.
