I'm with you although I would have chosen Rear Window rather than To Catch a Thief.

Well, I went with Cameron Diaz - but only because I couldn't vote for Kelly LeBrock - and I don't care it it is from Weird Science or Woman in Red!

As I'm unlikely to fall madly in love with an actress ...

I'll take this guy:

It's funny you mention that.

Normally I don't bother with these sorts of polls.  I mean, actresses come and go and they are all attractive in one way or another.  Through the years, I've never been one to go crazy for celebrities.  My parents were movie buffs and I grew up with an appreciation for all the golden age stars as well as more current ones.

By the time I was about 24, a local theater was running a Hitchcock revival, a different feature every week, reduced price tickets, etc.  My parents and I each got a set of tickets and I hooked up with them each week to catch the next film.  Now I had seen all of these films multiple times on TV and, by then, VHS.  Still, seeing them on the big screen was a kick.

Finally the week of Rear Window arrives, a personal favorite.  We meet up at the theater, grab our seats and settle in for the movie.  And then it happens.  Grace Kelly's first scene is a closeup in soft focus.  I don't know if it was the darkened theater or the 60 foot screen, but for the first time during a movie I was conscious of the fact that I had stopped breathing.  The woman was breathtakingly beautiful.

If you've never seen a movie with Grace Kelly, I would urge you to beg, borrow or steal a copy of Rear Window and give it a try.  There's a reason she later became the princess of Morocco.

That would do.

I was a huge Noni fan in the 90s, it's nice to see she's starting to come back (in the new Star Trek movie for example). Heathers, Little Women, The Age of Innocence, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Mermaids, Beetlejuice, so many good movies...

Lovely subject ...

Ellen Page stole my heart in Smart People. My first love was Natalie Wood in "as little as possible".

But then there's Jane Seymour, Tamlyn Tomita, Marisa Tomei, Annabella Sciorra, Jamie Curtis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Lucy Liu ... my oh my, where do I stop ...

Edit:    Totally ashamed I left out some important actress favorites of mine:  Dorothy Dandridge, Phylicia Rashad , Jada Pinkett Smith. List goes on and on here too ...

Oh man, now I'm thinking of some of my favorite Chinese and Vietnamese actresses - for a later edit. Oh how I love this survey!!!!!

Yes, them, too...

I voted for Bergman, but of my list, would have chosen Brooks.

Tomita... Come See the Paradise... oh yes...

I like that definition of yours: seen through their eyes

Right now, the Princess on a Vespa is leading 7 to 6 over the blond-haired vampire exterminator, then come Alba, Ingrid and Milla (5), and the others...
I wonder who voted who: is it mainly a generational thing? Young people vote new shows, less young people vote less new ones?
