Skip Fair enough. If only you had taken the time to say this in your first post in this thread, a lot of bickering would have been avoided. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

Well, let's check next week and see if the "yays" catch up to the 30 to 1 lead of the "nays". If it were even 3 or 4 to 1, maybe I'd be worried. | | | Hal |

I have to ask a question here, because it seems that everybody is stepping right over the obvious.
If 'common name' is based on 'credited as', and if we don't use appelations (that means things like Mr., Mrs., etc. for those in Rio Linda), then what possible reason would we use them in 'common names' for?
[And please don't bring up obvious exceptions like 'Mr. T']
Rifter, we're not discussing appellations, we're discussing prefixes in general, such as Sir, Dame, Reverend etc. Obviously we wouldn't use prefixes that are never used in any credits. Well, you'd never know it to read some of the posts, but I'm glad to hear it. For my part, whatever is listed in the credits "as credited" is what I go with. | | | John

I have to admit I didn't see the current poll results when I posted my reply, and 30 to 1 is indeed hard to beat... On the other hand, I've seen stranger polls than this turn completely around in a few days. |

Common name means a name that is common to many different credits that may have different prefixes. Thus "as credited" is meaningless. Common name means a name that is common to many different credits that may have different prefixes. Thus "as credited" is meaningless. How hard is that to understand? It seems to be impossible to understand for two individuals in particular. | | | Hal |
