| Posted: | | | | Having spent most of the last 2 years in and out of the hospital, I wish you luck! Having a good attitude is the easiest and best way to get through this, I found, and it seems like you have a good start! Don't forget your chargers when you go in! Found that one out the hard way!

Quote: When I was first told I had sleep apnea, and saw the duration and number of times I stopped breathing, I was afraid to go to sleep. I can not imagine how you feel. Again, the very best to you! Yeah... haven't mentioned to the docs that I think I may also have sleep apnoea which has never been diagnosed <cough> Quoting LJG: Quote: Don't forget your chargers when you go in! Found that one out the hard way! Very true... the tech available today made such a difference when I was in hospital in Greece, being able to stay in touch and online was brilliant; my brand new S4 got a real work out and you're right, chargers are a necessity - and of course, when I was in Greece, adaptors! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |

Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally. So I'm an anarchist, deal with it. Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted... |

| Posted: | | | | Usually, when I read this sort of thing I feel nothing. The internet is full of people venting their problems, and I get really sick of it. Keep things private to you and your family I say. Not this time. This time it's someone whose presence I care about and whose interaction with me over the years has been enjoyable. Someone who makes coming into this forum bearable. This is someone I wouldn't wish a bad day on for anything. I can honestly say, Voltaire, that this news brought a tear to my eye and I prayed for the first time since my mum got ill. I truly wish you the very best for a speedy recovery. |

| Posted: | | | | Well since everyone has wished you good luck. I'm going in a different direction. I hope the surgeon has a nice peaceful sleep, fresh cup of whatever he/she drinks in the morning, uneventful trip to the hospital and is nice and relaxed with steady hands when they roll you in. Good luck to everyone involved. |

Nice one; still to hear finally on the decision on how to treat and the biopsy (92% chance it's benign I believe) but surgery seems top of the list... your avatar seems most appropriate btw | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | Update; saw the consultant yesterday and have to have some tests and a new MRI which will take about 4 weeks to organise but nobody seems worried about the delay - obviously I'd prefer sooner rather than later but apparently the thing has been growing in there for 15 years so a few more days won't hurt and it seems I'm quite lucky to have no side effects at all so just being happy with that for now!
In the meantime I have received Season 2 of Game of Thrones Blu-ray for my birthday so that'll give me something to do in the meantime :D | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |
