Yes, that was true maybe 4-5 years ago. Today all what you said above is true with Firefox and that's propably why many Firefox users who for one reason or another doesn't care about IE uses Chrome.

I didn't ask you to start using IE. I asked you to change it as a default browser temporarily since some DVDP components are tied to it.

Well I opened a support ticket, and they've simply told me that DVD Profiler uses IE, as that's the Windows Registry default browser. Not what I wanted to hear, and not really fair on the millions of people who use other browser's instead of Microsoft's clunky IE. Still, I'll re-install IE and see what happens.

Bad Father - I'll see if your idea works, but it's frustrating that things work for you with Firefox, but they don't for me.

Kulju - The beauty of a user no longer being tied-down to just one internet browser should mean that users can chose what software to have installed on their PC's. I shouldn't need to have IE installed, or any other piece of software for that matter, just so that DVD Profiler works properly.

DVD Profiler should work, no matter what browser I have installed, and accept that if I don't like or have IE installed, then it should simply open up the correct Pop-Up Window during the Submissions process, in whatever my default browser is, and let me go on from there. The fact it isn't doing this, and is messing me about, because I choose to use Firefox (which in my view, is far superior to IE - but that isn't the issue at hand) instead, isn't great.

And yes, I know you didn't say I should use IE, but then, I didn't say that either. What I was getting it, is that I shouldn't have to install IE on my PC, in order for DVD Profiler to do its job properly. That kind of forced-software-decision-making is what got Microsoft into trouble, a few years back, when they only installed IE on new PC's. As an end-user of DVD Profiler, I should have the say as to what browser I use and/or have installed.

To those who have said they aren't encountering problems and/or have offered solutions, I thank you. I will see what I can do, and then come back with a response, once I have tried fixing this bug.

I didn't think you could uninstall IE completely because it was tightly linked into Windows? One could only revert to an earlier version?

or has it all changed?

Don't get the problem here, I have used Firefox and any number of other browsers with little or no problem for years.

Check to see if the Pop-up Blocker is active in Internet Explorer 9.

You have it right, Kathy. It is something going on with the users computer.. one problem might be ie9, I believe that is from several years ago, I think we are on ie 22 now. But the problem lies with the user and his computer not profiler, perhaps invelos will be able ti help him sort it out, I hope so but I'm list as to where his problem might exist

Just a thought, try uninstalling DVDP and do a clean reinstall. Make sure you have it backed up..
