looking at the case... it looks separate from the title to me.... there is a bigger space between "Spider-Man" and "in 3D" then there is between "The Amazing" and "Spider-Man".... plus is in a different color.
looking at the example from the link (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas)... it don't seem like the same type of situation to me. My opinion would be different if it said "The Amazing 3D Spider-Man" or something similar.
Taking all those reasons together... I think in this case... it is more of a descriptor then being part of the title. | | | | Pete |

But, the credit block does not... I think you will find, with few exceptions, that the credit block will reflect the film title, not the DVD title. At this point am in agreement that if the spine says it we shoud do the "in 3D" because of the reasons you are stated. But there are also good arguments to using the credit block that I can see as well. I don't really have a problem either way this pans out, but it is clear to me the media company wanted "in 3D" as the release title as you stated. |

| | Posted: | | | | No one has answered me yet. How is this any different than a title saying "In Technicolor". Some DVD's present this in the same way as "In 3D" on this title.  Same position, smaller font and color just like spider man. Would the same rule apply? Could we conceivably have a title "Gulliver's Travels In Technicolor"? So there's only one question for you Charlie: What does it say on the spline? (As with the Spider-man thing it also has the "in 3D" thing on the spine, otherwise I would have argued against including it) |

I also don't buy "Somebody or Something's Movie Title". These expletives should have their own field.
