Title: Teen Wolf: The Complete Season One: Disc 1
WOLF MOON
When Scott McCall is convinced by his best friend, Stiles, to join a search in the woods for a missing body, something comes out of the darkness to take a bite out of his side. As strange abilities begin to take effect the next day, Scott meets a beautiful new girl in town, Allison, whose family secrets further complicate his life.

SECOND CHANCE AT FIRST LINE
Now aware that he is becoming a werewolf, Scott must deal with hunters trying to catch him, another werewolf named Derek Hale and the pressure of normal teen life -- all while trying to figure out how to play his first lacrosse game and get a second chance at a date with Allison.

PACK MENTALITY
Scott's first date with Allison ends up in the confusion of the dreaded "group date" with Lydia and Jackson in tow; meanwhile, a mysterious animal attack has Stile's father, Sheriff Stilinski, on the lookout.

MAGIC BULLET
A new hunter in town puts Derek's life in danger, forcing him to make reluctant allies out of Scott and Stiles. While Scott tries to survive a dinner with Allison and her father, Stiles attempts to keep a mortally wounded Derek alive.

Stars:
Tyler Posey as Scott McCall
Crystal Reed as Allison Argent
Dylan O'Brien as Stiles Stilinski
Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale
Holland Roden as Lydia Martin

My Thoughts:

This is the TV series that airs on MTV. The only thing this has in common with the Michael J. Fox film is the title and the names of a couple of the characters... other then that.. it completely different. Definitely more horror then the films were. And in my personal opinion well done. I like the storyline and the characters. I recommend checking out the series.

Over the last few years I found that I enjoy these "found tape" films. While I enjoyed this third installment in the Paranormal Activity films... I have seen better. It starts of... and remains pretty slow for most of the film. But I did enjoy how they ended it. I found it to be worth the time I put in it... but pretty average over-all.

Title: True Blood: The Complete First Season: Disc 2
EPISODE 3 MINE
Sam seeks a remedy to his loneliness and Tara seeks a respite from her mother's alcoholic rage.

EPISODE 4 ESCAPE FROM DRAGON HOUSE
Once again a suspect for murder, Jason forces Sookie to use her powers to find the real killer.

Stars:
Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse
Stephen Moyer as Bill Compton
Sam Trammell as Sam Merlotte
Ryan Kwanten as Jason Stackhouse
Rutina Wesley as Tara Thornton

My Thoughts:

Still at the beginning of this great series.... at least watching on DVD. I seen the first couple seasons as they aired. They only put 2 episodes per disc on this set. Seems a little low to me... but whatever. I am just happy I have the set. As most of you know... I am a huge vampire fan. They are my favorite horror sub-genre. And I absolutely adore Anna Paquin in this series. Sookie has to be my favorite character. Out of these two episodes... I liked Escape from the Dragon's House best. I just couldn't help but to laugh at the reaction Jason got at taking all that vampire blood (for those that don't know... it is used a drug in this series) at once. Definitely a series I would recommend... though I have heard it gets a bit on the strange side... especially in later seasons.

Title: Smallville: The Complete Fifth Season: Thirst
More than a one-bite stand? Lana unwittingly becomes part of a Met U. sorority of vampires. One condition of her membership: She must bring Clark in for a bitefest! Chloe joins the DAILY PLANET.

Stars:
Tom Welling as Clark Kent
Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang
Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor
Erica Durance as Lois Lane
Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan

My Thoughts:

This is another Halloween episode I watch every year at this time. I have read where there is a lot of people that didn't care for this episode. But I always have. Once again probably because of it dealing with vampires. But I found it to be a fun episode. For some reason I got a kick out of vampire Lana.

My Thoughts:

Sometimes it is hard to get into a movie. And sometimes it gets better the longer you watching. But then there is times like this when it is hard to get into a movie... and hard to continue watching... where you are surprised you actually made it through the entire film. What can I say. It was a really slow and boring start. No real action until about 45 minutes into the movie. I didn't care about any of the characters in the film. And it felt like it was taking forever to get to the end of the film. But despite all that there was a few decent scenes scattered in. I think I will be a little generous with my rating... and go as far as a 2.

My Thoughts:

I have been wanting to see this since I first hear of it's existence... as I was always a fan of the series. This is the first motion comic I ever watched. And it was definitely hard to get used to at first... but after the first few issues I found myself getting into them... enjoying each of the issues more and more as I watched. Being such a fan of the series I would have preferred if they would have gotten at least some of the cast members from the series to do the voices... but I can understand that they were unable to. Each issue lasted between 10 to 15 minutes... most being right around the 11 minute mark. This is definitely not a movie and definitely not a TV Series (although based on one)... so I listed these motion comic issues under Other. So this set alone completely destroyed my goal for "Other" which was set at 6. I had a lot of fun watching these... I would recommend them to anyone that was/is a fan of the series. It took less then I thought to get used to the style... so don't let that deter you.

SPARKS FLY OUT
Bill wins over Adele's church audience. Sam tries to get closer to Sookie. Sookie makes a frightening discovery.

COLD GROUND
Sookie looks for refuge from mindreading. Tara's mother needs to rid herself of a demon.

Stars:
Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse
Stephen Moyer as Bill Compton
Sam Trammell as Sam Merlotte
Ryan Kwanten as Jason Stackhouse
Rutina Wesley as Tara Thornton

My Thoughts:

3 more episodes of this great series. I am still enjoying every minute of it revisiting the first season. Great characters... enjoying every second of the storyline. Sookie's brother still bugs me a little. It would be really hard for me to pick a favorite episode on this disc... but if I must... I would probably go with Cold Ground.

Year: 1992
Director: Fran Rubel Kuzui
Writer: Joss Whedon (Writer)
Rating: Rated PG-13 : Comic Vampire Violence and Drug References
Length: 85 Min.

Kristy Swanson as Buffy

Plot:
Blonde, bouncy Buffy (Kristy Swanson) is your typical high school cheerleader — her goal is to "marry Christian Slater and die" and nothing gets in her way when it's time to shop. But all that changes when a strange man (Donald Sutherland) informs her she's been chosen by fate to kill vampires.

With the help of a romantic rebel (Luke Perry), Buffy is soon spending school nights protecting L.A. from Lothos, the Vampire King (Rutger Hauer), his sidekick, Lefty (Paul Reubens), and their determined gang of bloodsuckers. It's everything you'd expect from a teen queen in the valley.19. Time of Your Life, Part 4

My Thoughts:

I know there is many people out there that don't care for this movie... much prefer the TV Series. While I do agree with them that I much prefer the TV Series version... I still enjoy this film quite a bit. I find it to be a fun horror comedy. And it is another film I am sure to fit in every year at this time. I thought Kristy Swanson, Donald Sutherland and Rutger Hauer were all good in this.  Paul Reubens was fine in it... but he did get on my nerves a little bit. Especially how he over-acted his death. Sure at first it was right funny.... but I found it to be drawn out a little too far. I think if you go into this one expecting what it is... a silly, cheesy movie... then I think you will enjoy it.

My Thoughts:

I found I am really getting into the storyline of this series. So I am trying to finish watching the DVDs for this series so I can watch the 4th season as it airs. Which starts on the 11th. Obviously since I still have up over 2 seasons to watch first... and my season 2 and 3 sets haven't arrived yet... I will have to set season 4 to record. My favorite episode on this disc was Blood Brothers as it showed how the brothers became vampires.

21. Isobel
Elena's mother returns to Mystic Falls setting off a chain reaction of astonishing revelations.

22. Founder's Day

Stars:

Sara Canning as Jenna Sommers

My Thoughts:

This disc completes the first season. Thankfully the series is really growing on me. Both episodes on this disc is quite good. And the season finale ends in a good cliffhanger... so I can't wait for season 2 (and 3) to arrive... hopefully within the next couple days. Mia Kirshner (The L Word) has a guest starring role in a handful of episodes in this series. Playing one of the vampires. Which I found kinda fun... considering in her teen years she played a vampire hunter of sorts in the Saturday morning show Dracula: The Series.

I hijacked Britt's computer for a moment to ask something.

I am watching the Halloween episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I have noted 3 episodes...

- Season 2: Halloween
- Season 4: Fear Itself
- Season 6: All the Way

I could have sworn there was more then 3... What (if any) am I missing?

Title: Square Pegs: The Like, Totally Complete Series... Totally: Halloween XLL
When pep committee leader Muffy convinces their teacher Ms. Loomis to host a slumber party on Halloween, the girls are targeted by a possible stalker.

Stars:
Sarah Jessica Parker as Patty Greene
Amy Linker as Lauren Hutchinson
John Femia as Marshall Blechtman
Merritt Butrick as John 'Johnny Slash' Ulasewicz
Tracy Nelson as Jennifer DeNuccio

My Thoughts:

It is such a blast from the past every time I watch this show! This is a show from the early '80s... about the same time as I started high school. And while the styles the people had at that time is a bit over exaggerated ... I knew people like all those in this show. Brittany gets laughing at me so much whenever she see's me watching a series like this... that shows how teen life was way back when. As for the Halloween episode itself... it is a fun episode... but not really a favorite. It is worth the time put in to watch it... but I have seen better.
