While I agree as well, I always supposed we were following the industry standard.  Anything with HD content counts as an HD release for sales figures.  I always thought that was a cute way to skew the numbers.

I don't think that is really an industry standard, it is more of a packaging decision of the discs themselves.

Because sometimes they will release a DVD/BD combo which is actuall the DVD and BD, but in a DVD case as opposed to a BD case.  They are not common, but they exist.  Disney probably does that the most.  My guess is that as far as DVD Profiler a standard needed to be set since usually in those types of releases they release a DVD/BD and BD/DVD at the same time.  Using the same disc pressings but different cases,

I think you missed my point.  Regardless of the packaging, any combo pack is considered a BD sale by the industry.

Just do like I do locally, one profile for them, and lock the kids out.

I look at it as, I bought the blu-ray, the dvd I never asked for and don't want to track, esp. if the same thing as the blu, so I don't aknowledge it.

Not good for submitting, but great for keeping my collection in check and numbers right.
