Keep your personal likes and dislikes private.

I'm sorry but I disagree with this statement. There are only a few topics, such as politics, that are off limits; personal likes and dislikes are not one of them.

Not databasewise.

Actually, in this case, it isn't off limits as the rules specifically allow for this particular like.

Actually, particularly in this case, my comment wasn't off-limits, because the common basis for contributing to the online database are The Rules and not what one fellow user thinks what data "looks more beautiful" to him. Those preferences should be kept local.

I am a tad confused as I never said your comment was off-limts.  What I said was, in this case, the personal like of an image that "looks more beautiful," wasn't off-limits because the rules specifically allow for it.  Had I known you were speaking in more general terms, I would have made that point clearer.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

This is a public forum and almost everything said in the forums are one's personal opinions. Why should this person be told to keep what they feel private?

Kathey because the Martian is correct. The user can feel whatever he wants about data appearance, but if it fall;s outside of the Rules it is local and not Copntributable. Just like the user RECENTLY who tried to add somethjing outside of the Rules simply to attempt to get all HIS and of course the Online's Stephen King titles to sort together. Sorry that is outside of the Rules and not allowable. Sorting is a purely local proposition and he can sort his movies any way he wishes but the Online is not his per5sonal playground and he must follow the Rules as all of us do.And that is done for a reason.
ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!

Invelos has specific identified which topics are not to be discussed in the forums.

Personal opinion on topics, outside of those restricted by invelos,  are allowed and should be encouraged.

One does not have to care for them, agree with them or even read them.

What people should not do is try and censor people and their feelings on topics that are allowed, by invelos, in this public forum.

Otherwise no one would be allowed to say anything on any topic since there is bound to be someone who doesn't agree or care for a post.

I only wanted to say that when I contribute according to the rules, the images weren't accepted, because other people wanted the images which are against the rules.

I don't want to contribute against the rules, because images are so beautiful or anything else.
