It seems these discs are exactly the same in every locality so I'm not even going to bother creating separate profiles for the Swedish locality, I'll just use the UK or US profiles in my local db. But I'm sure someone will add them eventually...

Against the Rules.

What does KinoNiki's local db preference have to do with the rules.

Against the Rules.

Maybe I am misreading you here but, how is adding the bonus discs, via disc ID against the rules?  I haven't watched them but, based on their titles, 'The Alien Anthology Archives' & 'Making the Alien Anthology', it seems that they apply to the entire set so, per the rules, can be added.

<shakes head> I already quoted the Rule, Martian. IF there is a disc that applies to the entire set,not just one featurette, then yes that can be Profiled under the Rules.

I should have known it would be you. I have no doubt that you have the ability to parse the ruleto create an entirely different reading of it. But try reading the Rule before making such an inane reply, it has been quoted. <sheeesh> I look forward to your parsing....NOT

Obviously, I don't. Perhaps you should be more clear.

Since it's not against the rules to have any profile you want in your local and since it's not against the rules to submit disc ID profiles for bonus discs in box sets which apply to the whole series, no, I have no idea what Against the Rules could possibly refer to.

Just to play it safe. Let me quote the Rule for you again

The Rules state:

"If a Box Set contains discs of Bonus Material for individual films, do not create separate profiles for these discs. Add the information to the individual film’s profile as normal for a single film 2-Disc set. If there is a disc of Bonus Material for all films included in the Box-set, create a separate profile for this disc."

Did you even read my post?  These two discs seem to apply to the entire set so why are they against the rules...which was what you said to KinoNiki?

There is no parsing needed as you just made the same statement I did...that discs that apply to the entire set are allowed, per the rules.  Because you made that statement, and these discs appear to apply to the entire set...the titles indicate that they are about the 'anthology', which is the entire set... I am trying to understand why you told KinoNiki that it would be against the rules to add them.

That is against the Ruiles NOW. Maybe not tomorrow, but today it is.If all he was referring to was his local then the sentence was unecessary and especially the word ADD.Of course, he can add them locally but that is not what that sentence suggests. Good grief.

Since both discs refer to the anthology, which is the entire set, how, exactly is it against the rules now?

By the book, option 1 is correct way to contribute these. Case closed.

I still prefer option 3 because after a few days of thinking I still can not see any point for those two separate profiles which includes only title and few checkboxes (featurettes, interviews and gallery) selected from Features-list.
These profiles would make a kind of sense if all bonus materials were listed on the Overview to see exactly the disc(s) content, but we can't because it is against the rules.

ALIENS looks just stunning after remastering and new color timing. Also nice too see some corrections to continuity issues and revealing sfx mistakes.
