New Blu-ray of The Exoricst, Boxset or Bonus Film? |

And by the by, since we're talking about it, anybody who's ever held off seeing The Exorcist, now, with this release, is the time to see it. I did a screen by screen comparison on my home theatre system from blu-ray to previous dvd releases... Holy hell... Absolutely amazing picture quality, absolutely amazing sound quality. Warner REALLY hit this one out of the park (both releases, so if you don't want to see the spider-walk in HD, you don't have to, the Original Theatrical Version has been wonderfully remastered as well) and I couldn't be happier with this release!! In a case like this, I would make the main profile the version that is listed first, and a child profile for the other. I would do the same. It's much like releases where one disc is either BD or HD-DVD and the other is DVD. The second disc is treated as a bonus film. Setting it up as a box set seems a little unnecessary. | | Posted: | | | | Thanks again to everyone for their help. Just finished with the submissions for both so pending approval, they should probably be released by tomorrow night. They were a total pain in the butt (especially when you factor into the equation that the Extended Director's Cut has like, 30 separate subtitle options and they're listed in their native languages, and I wouldn't know Greek or Thai from my left foot... ), but totally worth it! Did the U.S. profile (I forgot to check when I was looking at it) have separate credits for the Extended Director's Edition (they're listed near the end of the regular credits)? There's a section entitled Additional Footage & Digital Remaster (the extra footage that was edited back into the film and the sound that accompanies it) that then includes a film editor and a bunch of sound guys? I included them in my submission relating them to the same scenario as what was done with Star Wars (IV) where the crew for the special edition was tagged onto the end of crew section using an episode divider. BTW, is it sad that now, with the purchase of the new blu-ray, I actually own five different copies of The Exorcist? The Version You've Never Seen (Snapper Case) The Complete Anthology (The Version You've Never Seen) The Complete Anthology (Original Theatrical Version) [which doesn't actually seem to be in the system - I'm wondering how this would be entered, since The Complete Anthology contains thinkpaks all with spearate UPC's, I'm assuming just a child profile to that UPC, which in turn acts as a child profile to The Complete Anthology boxset...  ] Extended Director's Edition (Blu-ray) Original Theatrical Version (Blu-ray) I do love me some nasty spewing green pea soup!  | | | | The night is calling.
