Under the assumption that a film is in production until it is released the term production year is not wrong. It may be wrong in cases where a film is shelved for some years after production. Wouldn't be the first time that happens. |

Wouldn't be the first time that happens. I would agree in some cases. But you could argue that the time on the shelf has been part of the production for the film to get maturity.  BTW Is post production part of the production process even though the name suggests otherwise? IMO it is. |
