But in the situation described in the OP, I would not credit twice.

I was fairly sure...up until you made your post.  I don't think I have seen a film that had the same person credited as both, could you provide an example as it doesn't make sense to me.  If you are the Producer, the highest tier, why credit yourself as Executive Producer as well?

I went looking through alphabetically that I've verified the credits for, and found a few in my collection:

Angel of H.E.A.T.
Best of the Best 2
Beyond Re-Animator
Bullies
The Company of Wolves

I'd find more if I checked down further of course, but those are examples of where a person has both a Producer and Executive Producer credits in a film.

Agreed, in the example specified in this thread they should not be credited twice for the same exact Crew role.

Agreed. I see this as exactly the same as having "A xxxx Film" and "Directed by xxxxx" in the same credits - I don't put 2 Director credits in the profile.

The Poll is clear. I withdrawn and resubmitted with Elmo only credited once. Thanks for your input!

Learn something new every day.  Guess I will stick to what I know best...studio data.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
