While I can wholeheartedly agree that the Volume should go in the title thread, I really wish Invelos would step in and define titles a little more clearly.

Between this and the other title thread, there really is very little consistency on some of the more complicated (?) titles.

Absolutely agree.

Because with pics of the other parts of the series, Danae's idea also gives sense.
(Even if imho the mixing of subtitle and volume is a bit irritating. In my first idea the same)

I might add 'Volume 1' to the Edition field

Like others have stated, I don't understand this at all. Never have we put something like that into the "Edition" field.

Yea, I had a brain fart and forgot to look at the rules before I posted.  'Volume 1' does, indeed, belong in the title field.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Sorry, but where do you get this "Volume 1"?
I checked and re-checked the front cover and could not find that information anywhere. I only see
    1
VOLUME

in the spine. How is that switched to "Volume 1"? And when did we start taking titles from spines?

Same info... different formating as Volume 1... though I guess that does mean it should be 1 Volume in title field... though I would have Volume 1 in my local.

Bold by me...

This is a TV Series. The Volume info is the same as season info (not everything comes out in season sets). And the rules states it goes in the title field... and it don't have to come from the FRONT cover.

See Here....

Rules Quote:
Quote:
Title
The title for a Box Set should be the title listed on the Front Cover; for example The Andy Griffith Show. Season indicators, if listed on the cover, should be entered as part of the title, not the description.  e.g. Angel: The Complete First Season.

So the title comes from front cover. The season indicator (in this case 1 volume)  does not say FRONT cover... but just "The Cover". The spine is part of "The Cover". So it belongs in the title field as well.

As for how long it has been this way. Since we had Rules instead of guidelines.
