I would not vote against (nor in favour) of such a contribution. Since I could not do neither the translation nor the romanisation myself, I would have to leave the role names for Asian credits (in non Roman characters) empty any way.

This makes sense.  You could not copy romanized Korean and look it up online to see what it is, whereas you can with roles written in other Latin alphabets.

What we would need to do is concentrate on the program change first. If Ken don't want to make such a change for whatever reason... or if it takes years to get (took several years of asking before getting some of what we have now) there is no need for the rules for it before we know we have a program update for it.

We need UTF characters. It's been asked for for years but requires too much work. The work around is difficult. Names should be romanised but proper words that have an actual translation should be able to be translated from non-latin alphabets.

This change wouldn't hurt the rules at all as alphabets that are supported would all stay the same. In fact the rules send you in circles anyway. Enter as credited, which you can't because of shotcomings in the program (More films are made with non latin characters than with). Don't translate so you can't romanise or translate so you leave the field blank where the rules tell us we can put pretty much what we want.
