BBC were AFAIK always called BBC, while SVT is a gradual "modernization", because it's the Swedish way of being "hip" to say SVT. Har-har...
Same with SF.
But more seriously, I'm qouting this from SF.se's site:
1998 delades SF upp i två fristående bolag, AB Svensk Filmindustri, som distribuerar och producerar film, och SF Bio AB, som äger och driver den största biografkedjan i Sverige.
English:
In 1998 SF was divided into two independent companies: AB Svensk Filmindustri, who distribute and produce movies, and SF Bio AB, who own and run the largest cinema franchise in Sweden.
So, SF is just an abbreviation and nothing official.
I'd say it's the same with SVT. |

SF is still short for Svensk Filmindustri. Yes SF is short for Svensk Filmindustri. The Norwegian branch is called SF Norge. And as a mediadistributer in Norway it says on the cover as mentioned before: Distributed by SF Norge, hence it's valid to enter it like this as MC. | | | "What's God?"
