I can get you the address and phone number for Ken Jones-Production Designer [...]

No, you can't: that isn't the guy I'm looking for. The British production designer Ken Jones in my database is this one, and, as usual, there's not a shred of information to be found on the guy.

Yuck, not even a big resume. So now we can account for at least 3 Ken Jones. I suspect that there are probably more, if IMDb can be trusted, there appears to be at least 24 of them.       If Ken hadn't changed that rule we would not have to worry about at least one of them. The only thing I can suggest at this point is to go back to what I said three years ago, and I still believe, when a BY cannot be determined use the earliest record of film involvement that can be found as an alternate.<shrugs>

I understand your concern relative to the CLT and the BY, but it was not me that lobbied for the current change in the Rules. You have discovered the problem caused by it and the price that will be paid. But no one wants to listen when Skip something is  a bad idea, and i did and it was and now we KNOW.   Too bad, perhaps Ken will change the Rule back to what it was originally, the work to this point would be minimal as I haven't seen a mad scramble to make wholesale changes.

I could be wrong, but I don't remember anybody asking for or lobbying for this rule change...I know I didn't.  If memory serves, it was one of those rules that Ken came up with.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

You could be correct on that, Martian. Even worse though, it was a BAD idea. Just one of many that have been instituted, if it wasn't discussed then I can't imagine the rationale applied since in more than just this one instance the prefix can serve as a discriminator between multiple people with the same name. But then i am opposed to any sort of stansdard entries that take us away from the DATA, As Credited, and we have several of those. We seem to heading towards follow the Rules...except when we don't...and this can include precedents set by screeners not following the rules but only following usually rather mindless voting.

I don't think this was a bad idea, but I think this change needs some other improvments to work how it should be.
