Some great selections so far, but I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Godard's Alphaville. Superbly dystopian and definitely one of my favourites.

Immortel got me excited enough to check out the source material "The Nikopol trilogy", with the beautiful art of Enki Bilal.

One of the greatest comics ever. Didn't like the film very much though.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Test Pilota Pirxa [1978]

I've been looking for this forever. The only copy I found was a Polish DVD that was out of print, and probably didn't have any subtitles I understand anyway.

A page with some screenshots (in Russian).

There's an easier to get German dvd too

German DVD

but it has no subtitles either afaik.

oh yeah that is a very good movie...the remake with clooney is also pretty good.

i also agree on Moon, very good movie (on my to buy list on blu-ray). although moon's trailer had quite a bit of spoilers in it.

Deutsch: Dolby Digital 2.0

At least it has a German dub. I'm not exactly fluent in German but it's better than my Polish.
