I would like to clarify a couple of things.

Before I submit any contributions I refresh my database. The only data that I lock locally are genres and cover scans.

I have not added or changed any of the data that Skip has brought up. These changes were made by invelos. I did not touch, add or change Harry Connick. These were done by invelos.


As far as the BY: Skip is talking about The Insider UPC 717951007391: Michael Moore.

When I checked the accepted BY list there are 2 listed: Michael Moore (1954) and Michael Moore (1925).

The Michael Moore in this DVD had a BY of 1952 - not in the accepted BY list. This BY was also not in my local database. So when I submitted this profile it came up as Michael Moore (no birth year) which I thought was correct.

I received a "no" vote so I researched the data and found that indeed there is another Michael Moore (1952). I then withdrew the submission with the corrected data and an explanation.

This won't be the first mistake I will make but I will continue to contribute doing the best I can. So, going back to my original topic, I would like to hear from others on this topic.

Look at your Contributiion it says Harry Connick, Jr. (Harry Connick Jr.) is being Contributed as Harry Connick, Jr. That is a CHANGE, don't pretend that it's not. It may be an unitended change, but it is a change. And your claim that you are simply allowing the filter to override your local, which it will do if you aren't careful, then has you making an errant Contribution.

She is trying, granted, but mistakes are being made and approved and not just by Kathy. Such things are very upsetting and depressing to see happen and get approved...all too often.

Now Kathy you appear to be trying to Cover your tracks by making a claim thatb you are copying data from another Profiler. That presents an interesting issue, since both Iron Giant profiles are OLD Profiles, we appear to have a conflict in the data, so did you bother to make note of that conflict and go check it against the ACTUAL data...NO you didn't. Your notes are now not clear. Iron Giant was TEN years ago, the Special Edition was released SIX years ago, check the data agsint the ACTUAL when you sed a conflict, so that we know which is right. IF I had to guess I would say , Jr. is correct, but a guess is all I can do with my copy in a box a mile away, but I don't guess. I assume you have your copy at hand, if you do check it resolve the conflict for this particular version.
