However, I totally hate when people put notes about mistakes in the Yes vote.

If I make a mistake then bloody well vote NO!!! Even the smallest mistake should be blocked from entering the db.
Also, I'm sure I'm not alone in that I very rarely check my YES votes (after all people have voted Yes, so I don't need to worry). But I ALWAYS check NO votes and correct/contact accordingly.

Definitely agree with that. Although I do check the votes fairly often anyway for the reason of "Yes Nos!", there are occasions when I might miss them if they aren't in the No section.

Indeed this seems to be a fairly common practice. If I was the No voter, I'll sometimes give the Contributor a green in the thread for that item if they need to recontribute it.

If I make a mistake PLEASE vote "no" so that I can re-check my contribution. I usually give a green arrow for them too!

Okay, regarding this. I have The Vengeance Trilogy box set which contains OldBoy, Lady Vengeance and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. I've already added Lady and Sympathy by disc ID to my local with no problems as the DVDs weren't in the database already (I'm adding by DVD as the cases within the boxset don't have UPCs).

OldBoy, however, is already in the database with a disc ID.

Now, am I allowed to download that info, modify it as necessary (double checking audio/video/etc), apply a new scan and upload it as a new profile? I know you cannot do this with shared UPCs (meaning if the cover changes you can't change what was already submitted), but can you submit a new cover with shared disc IDs?

Nope, the same restrictions apply. However since it's basically still the same movie/disc. You can add the DiscId as box set content to the parent profile and contribute it with all 3 children attached.

Then you modify the OldBoy profile to your liking and lock all fields that differ from the original release.
