He's got you dragon. Your scan looks like the inside cover with the lenticular banner from the slip-cover attached. A good result, yes, but against the rules IMHO. Fess up!

Except I did clearly show that it's not the slip cover.

Following your quote of the rules, it wouldn't have the Blu-ray banner added to the image at the top as that isn't naturally on the box cover. So it's either a violation by claiming it's something it's not, or it's a violation by adding things that aren't there.

Except as I pointed out in this case, where it was alleged to be the slip cover but clearly shown not to be. Then if you wanted to use the reflective rule (which I personally don't think this one is but that's another issue) then it would be breaching by adding the Blu-ray banner.

I'll let the thread die now as the matter has been resolved.

What is really sad is that dragon withdrew his whole contribution because we dared to question him about the scan.

These are contributions. That means you have to follow what the rules tell you to do. If you don't like that on a particular movie release, do what I do; make your own scan, use it in your local db and lock the profile.

I absolutely agree with Dan. As Dan knows there are very few scans in my collection which I did not do, right off hand I can think of maybe a half dozen, they were silver covers and one of our colleagues dirk-steitz has these down pat. I believe that Dan does pretty much the same personal policy, he does his own.
